I love Floor channeling her inner wolf, Emppu enjoying himself, and Tuomas playing the keyboard while windmilling like crazy. How does he do that?

Tuomas is a fan of Stephen King. It is a tribute based on book 5 "wolves of the calla" from the Dark Tower series.

It's one of the most underrated Nightwish songs - I simply can't understand why - it's great music.

This is my absolute favourite song and favourite version of this song from Nightwish just pure full body chills through out it and specially when Floor howls to the growd. And the pricision of the pyros and lights with the music changes just heavenly. And the song is so breathtaking but empowering good workout music.

As someone mentioned this is based on the 5th book of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, "The Wolves of the Calla". From the Stephen King fandom wiki: "After escaping the alternate Topeka and the evil wizard Randall Flagg, Roland's ka-tet travel to the farming village of Calla Bryn Sturgis where they meet the townsfolk, as well as Father Callahan, who was originally introduced in 'Salem's Lot. He and the townsfolk request the ka-tet's assistance in battling against the Wolves of Thunderclap, who come once a generation to take one child from each pair of the town's twins (twins are the norm in this town). After a few months of being away, the children are then returned "roont" (ruined) - mentally handicapped and destined to grow to enormous size and die young. The Wolves are due to come in about a month's time." This may help shed some light on the lyrics of the song.

This is one of the best songs of Nightwish. I don't understand why it is not suggested more, although NW does have tens of songs that are all really good.

I believe I recommended this a couple of times, but it was quite a while ago. Nice to see it with sound now!

Excellent👌! This song has a special place in my heart !!! Not just because wolf is Estonian national animal but the windmill battle between Tuomas and Floor ....holy mother of Odin !!! Plus Floor's Inner Wolf is awesome (Floor has two tattoos behind her ears , one is Dog, the other one is a Wolf )!!!! And what Helicopter 🤨,...This is "Dutch Windmill" 😎 Floor has 3 distinct styles. Head banging(straight forward, then back), hair whip(almost like cracking a bull whip) and the Windmill(continuous 360 degree revolutions). Why Windmill? Well she is Dutch !!!! The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behind the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. Number 3 in my favourites list It's ecomnended quite a lot (certainly by me). You saw the silent howl at the end well done. Tuomas was windmills in this too. Check out Marko's solo album, Pyre of the Black Heart starting with The Voice of My Father. I just love this one. Only TPATP and Song of Myself are above it.

I do wish more reaction channels would do the original Anette-era songs. She is a brilliant singer and she sang magnificently on those albums. 'For The Heart I Once Had' is Anette at full belt, and I doubt even Floor could match that performance.
