The easiest way to give a dog pills is to give them a few treats by throwing it into their mouth (they are more likely to snap at it to catch it) and throw in the pill randomly. Works like a charm and they never know. :)

I feel like dogs that learn lots of tricks over the course of there whole life seem to live longer. Maybe because bit keeps them more alert and happy? Not to mention it works them physically. Anyone else notice anything like that? I mean, obviously breeding and nutrition play a HUGE role, but older dogs like this one just seam so much younger than other dogs the same age/breed when they learn new things all the time.

Sunny is gorgeous 💖 💖 💖 💖 grew up with a golden, she was awesome! I'm having a ball teaching Valentine tricks and taking her on the bus into town a couple of times a week we've progressed from just, bus station, other bus, vet and repeat back. Then I got off the bus at the bottom of town and walked up the main street. We now get off the bus though the station and mall, up and down the street back to the bus station, get the bus to pets at home. Then walk over to Asda, walmart, and get the bus home. I'm finding that, time in the garden and around the house with her ball and teaching her tricks is plenty exercise for her and the breaks in between means if she does react at a dog or a person, it's giving her time for her cortisol levels to lower. Just loving it and had to share. Big thank you to you Zak, you've been a huge help 😊😊😊😊

She's so cute, proof that an old dog can learn new tricks! I taught my dog to "Stick 'em Up" with the cue that is used for Sunny's "Bang Bang." Definitely a crowd-pleaser!

Within the next few moths I'll be getting a puppy for the first time as an adult (it's been almost ten years since my family had a dog at all and we never went through training with them) and watching your videos has really helped me feel more prepared for down the line with my pup! It especially helped solidify my stance that I don't want to work with any OB trainers that use anything but positive reinforcement and follow philosophies similar to yours. It has really helped me to know what I'm looking for in trainers for the future - the breeder requires at least two OB classes. I really recommend people watch your video about knowing when to fire a trainer/finding a good one in the first place.

Been trying to teach my super smart and well behaved minigoldendoodle new things. Train him five minutes a day which helps so much with obedience. He’s my service dog- incredibly well behaved and great connection with me. The problem is in finding tasks he wants to learn and will learn. He won’t do roll over, guess I’m not doing it right. I taught him spin - he runs to the couch. Where do I find things not too easy and not too hard. He’s 3. Thanks. I used your videos to train him from 8 weeks on.

Just got our 8 week old GSD pup Behr (22 lbs!) on Saturday. Didn't go home right away as the drive was very long . Brought his crate and only had a short time to crate train him. Luckily, I "Zak" crate trained him and after only being with us for approximately 4 hours he slept in his crate with the door shut, no crying, for 5 hrs. He whined to go outside, did his business right away, went back into his crate and 3 hrs. later let us know again. I know it hasn't been a long time but I do have to brag a little. We are home now and he actually goes to the door on his own to let me know he needs to go out. I have a feeling I'm going to be a very lucky dog Mama with this pooch and thanks to your videos Zak he's going to be perfect. Keep up the good work!

Oh my God! I love dis video, this woman and her dog! How well trained. I have a 3 month old pit/lab whom I'm training and because of your videos I have taught him a few tricks already. He is house broken already, & I exercise Him daily which has helped out with the biting. Zack, you're the man when it comes to training dogs. After a few videos I learned how to train my 8 week old cockapoo to do many different tricks etc. I was worrying about training because it was the first dog I had ever had. But after the first day he knew how to sit. After the first week he learned how to eat on command, lie down, roll over and shake my hand. After a bit longer I had toilet trained him fully. I've not had any problems other than play biting but that's no big deal because I'm sure you've got a video for that!

That was amazing! I loved it.

For anything that's not time-release, I just grind it into powder and mix it into a spoonful of jelly/jam. Works like a charm. Pill pockets I use for stuff that's extended release so you don't want it broken down before it hits the stomach.

One of the dog videos I saw to help with bow was to throw the treat infont of them as soon as they bow preventing the back legs from ever going down. It was really helpful and my dog learned in about a day or 2

Hi Zack. I taught a 10 year old German Pinscher all basic commands and then some tricks after as when we adopted him at age 10 he did not know any commands.

Another awesome and easy trick (in my experience) to train a dog is “sit pretty” or just say pretty because dogs usually have a better time learning tricks with one word and add a motion with it they have a easier time and it helps them understand it better. “Sit pretty” is when I bend my legs and put my fists on my knees she then proceeds to put both of her paws on my knees whilst still sitting. It is adorable and very easy to teach. Today I started agility with her (her names red) and she does everything as long as I do it with her. If you’re wanting your dog to do rebound and agility and other tricks they have to trust you. If they don’t feel safe or are pups and don’t know you well enough they will not do so. Red was originally found on the road and she has learned so much in 4 months! I hope this helps!

Sunny looks like my old family dog who died of a tumor that gave her cancer :(((( she was also a golden retriever and was super smart! Her name was Sandy. Now I’m trying to convince my parents to get another golden retriever. Keep up the good training and also Sunny is super cute!

An easy way to teach dogs to crawl quickly is to sit on the floor with your leg bent (or propped up on something, depending on the size of the dog) and luring them under your knee so they only have room the crawl. All mine learned in a couple of days that way.

I'm trying to teach my dog how to crawl! We've only been doing it for about 15 minutes and she sooo good at it!
