In goat simulator 3 if you go to a yoga studio somewhere on the map if you sit through the whole thing the yoga teacher he'll be talking to you and the player as well and after you've been sitting there for a while you get not only a reward for it but also an achievement as well 😉

Samurai Jack: Shadow of Aku, has an idle animation easter egg where, if you stand still on a patch of grass for long enough, Jack will kneel down, weave himself a straw hat, and wear it. He even continues to wear it throughout gameplay (you only lose it when you get hit). Granted, it doesn't require as much patience as any of the items on this list, but I felt like mentioning it.

This one requires dedication and paitence. In the Stanley Parable, if you manage to play the narrator's game about pushing a button to save a baby from danger for four hours straight, you get an ending where you meet The Essence of Divine Art. And to prevent you from using an auto-clicker and sitting there, they throw a second button in halfway through.

There's a couple of idle animations in Metroid Prime. If you stand idle long enough, Samus will flip a panel in her arm cannon, revealing four lights, each colored to the corresponding beam: orange (Power Beam), purple (Wave Beam), white (Ice Beam), and red (Plasma Beam). I don't know if this was shown before in a previous hidden details episode, but it's worth noting.

In the Stanley Parable there's an achievement called "Go Outside" Which requires you to never open the game for 5 years. The Ultra Deluxe version that achievement is replaced with one called "Super Go Outside" Which is the same concept however the wait period is 10 years.

Did you know that: in My Singing Monsters, if you zoom in on a monster, his voice and the ones around would be clearer, while the farther ones will be more quiet? Also, if you zoom in to the max and go off the island, all monsters will be quieter. I accidentally found that out, and think it’s neat that they accentuate the voices of the monsters that are actually on screen at that moment and make the off screen monsters quieter

There's an easter egg in Ratchet & Clank 2 (PS2) that requires you to wait. On the title screen you can see Ratchet and Clank watching a TV with game footage playing on it. Normally, this footage is from either the first or second Ratchet & Clank games, but if you wait long enough (i.e. every fourth clip shown), you'll be able to see footage from Jak & Daxter, Jak II or Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racconus.

In Uncharted The Last Legacy, you can climb a really high building, right to the top, if you wait long enough the character (Chloe) will start saying things like "What a nice place" and "I feel like I'm waiting for something to happen", actually breaking the fourth wall, and, ultimately, doing a really complicated yoga pose in a kind of cutscene. Really nice.

In Gran Turismo 7, on Bathurst, if you wait in a certain spot at the to of the mountain for 10 minutes, you can watch a UFO abduct a cow.

In Anachronox, to get PAL-18's best weapon, you go to Moon Burger's ball pit and let him play in it...for four hours of real time. You can't leave the area or he stops and you'd have to start over entirely. If you wait SEVEN hours total, you get the Shadow Bracers for you.

I like how whenever you were showing the footage of you doing the easter egg, you started at the beginning and THEN fast forwarded. In some of these kinds of videos, they always just skip to the end immediately. I get why, but I'd at least like to see how it started before you skip to the end.

Two other time consuming easter eggs are the EXPcalibur in Dying light (hold the button for like 5 minutes to pull the sword out of the stone) and the hidden "Friends the World Over" achievement in Genshin Impact which requires you to talk to any NPC 10 000 times.

I was able to break the developer room door in left 4 dead without using propane tanks or an axe, just a machete and a lot of clicking. I even got the achievement and a golden crowbar I think

With Dying Light, the two that come to mind as requiring great patience are the Korek Machete and EXPcalibur. I had to remap my controller so my hand wouldn't go to sleep grabbing the latter weapon.

It's not THAT long but in Styx: Master of Shadows you need to look at a tree for two minutes straight. Fortunately a special song plays during that time which is very good so that makes it less boring.

In Harvest Moon: A wonderful life if you go into the harvest sprites home there's a pot that you can talk to. If you keep talking to it, it'll let you pick the gender of your baby when it's born.

The one that takes serious time that comes to mind for me.. well two now that i think on it, is the infamous metal gear solid sniper battle where the guy literally dies of old age if you take too long (a week after you start the battle) And the infamous hidden wall in elden ring that has left everyone hitting every wall a bajillion times after its discovery.

Most remakes of the game have it as well and even offer rewards for completing it. Also, these might not count as Easter Eggs, but Jonathan Blow LOVES to test the patience of his players: one of the stars needed for the true ending of _Braid_ (each of which is hidden like an Easter Egg) requires waiting for a VERY slowly moving platform to make its way across a level, a process that takes 90 minutes; one of the "environmental puzzle" bonuses in _The Witness_ requires starting a video in the theater and waiting an hour to complete the puzzle just as the video finishes.

First one that immediately come to mind for me: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain on the ZX Spectrum (1984) You pause the game and at the bottom of the screen it says "Pausing - Press C to Continue" ... fair enough... however .... after a while it progressively changes to the following..... "C ... short for Continue?" "Fourth along the bottom row?" (the layout of the original ZX Spectrum) "Hellooooooo?" "Gone for a cheesecake?" and finally..... "Pausing - Press C to Continue"

One of my favourite easter eggs of this variety is when you summon Mog in the world map in Final Fantasy 9. It doesn't take quite as long to do as these ones, but if you summon Mog and cancel on him without selecting a service after a number of times (About 15) he'll start getting angry at you. It's not much, just a couple of new lines but it's always cracked me up.

However, if you wait those ten minutes, Guy drowns, and you get an achievement lol.

Not sure if you’ve covered this, but in Call of Duty Black Ops 2’s campaign, occasionally when killing an enemy with the galvaknuckles (electric brass knuckle things) they will throw up. Wonderful 👍

I got an Easter Egg from Dead Rising 2. One of the psychopaths is a mailman, one of his weapons is a package bomb. Definitely a reference to Jingle All The Way.

you missed a great one, mass effect 3 doing pullups in the citadel dlc p2 to beat james record, requires a total of 183 timed event button presses, which lasts about 30 minutes give or take, and doing so just gets you some interesting dialogue that most people do not actually hear because most people dont have the time to wait 183 timed button press events

The jedi fallen order one I accidentally did because if a game continues to let me push a button my gamer instink is to push it until something happens, because something will happen... even if nothing happens

The only "easter eggs" that I can come up with right now is how in the original "The Stanley Parable" you get an achievement for not playing the game for five years, and how there's one like that in the Ultra Deluxe version where you have to wait 10 years to get it. There's also one that isn't as long in OMORI in OTHER WORLD where you have to cut through a bunch of traffic cones to get to a sprout mole that complains about you cutting them, then puts them back up again and gives you an achievement.

I can't believe far cry 4 auto win after waiting 13 minutes isn't in here. Or the mission in red dead 2 where you save the guy and deliver him to the doctor in Saint Denis you are supposed to leave the room but if you wait long enough you can see an extremely graphic arm amputation.

In the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, one of Coco's idle animations involves her answering her phone, and then playing with it. If you wait long enough, there's a random chance that the phone will explode. Not only does this serve as a funny reference to the Samsung phone battery scandal, but it's also extremely helpful for spinless runs.

I found a hidden detail in Hearts of Iron 4. I only found this as Germany in the 1936 start date. I also had the civilian difficulty with Ironman mode off.
