Today's video is a tutorial on 7 easy silk scarf hairstyles, there's many ways you can style your silk scarves or bandanas. I have been seeing this trend everywhere recently so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm in LOVE!! Thank you for this! I'm having surgery tomorrow on my head and they're going to remove some of my hair in the front so I ordered scarves to cover it. I don't know what I'm doing because I've never worn one so this video really helps.

I have my bandana in the thrid style. My bandana isn't completely cotten and is inside out. Its also 20 inches, so a little bit too small but it still works

It may be your scarf, is it silk? Mine are vintage try to find some 100% silk on thrift stores. Also maybe try to tie the knot tighter

They don't slip off? I f love scarfs but find silk/satin scarfs never stay on my head. They keep sliding off. I use the turban one most of the time, and also the one covering the whole hair, but I pull out my ears. I think I'll start trying a few of the other ones for a change. p.s. I love your moms' scarfs, good steal. beautiful...

b j yeah sometimes they slide a little, you have to make sure to tighten the knot a little more then. And some styles slide more than others, play around and see which one you love the most, they’re all so cute 💕

@Samantha Jarrett It’s misinformation that head coverings, wraps, and bonnets started in Africa. For example, women in the Slavic regions of Europe always wore head wraps and scarves. The Turkish region is another example, those people wear a wide variety of head coverings, and they always have. And honey, the reason African Americans wear bonnets today is because they adopted that from Europeans. Bonnets came from Europe. This whole argument that head coverings and braids belong to black because because they somehow used it first is false. Native Americans were braiding their hair way before any Africans showed up in that region and the same goes for Europe, asia, and Polynesia. Every culture had its own form of these things before ever being influenced by anyone else.

you will be able to do the ones where I used the smaller scarf, but the ones where I used the bigger one it might be a bit to small. I mention the sizes of the scarfs I'm using at the begging of the video
