7 Easy Ways To Make Flowers Last Longer

Here is what you'll need!
SUPPLIES
Sharp scissors
Penny from before 1982
Ice
Vodka
Lemon-lime soda
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove any leaves that will be underwater.
2. Cut stems 1 inch (2.5 cm) from the bottom. Cut at a sharp angle underwater.
3. Add a few drops of vodka to your vase water. Vodka helps slow wilting.
4. Add ¼ cup of lemon-lime soda to your vase. This will help flowers last longer.
5. Put a copper penny in your vase water. Copper acts as an acidifier to fight bacteria growth in the vase.
5. Store flowers in the fridge overnight. The low temperature helps slow aging.
6. Put ice in your vase water. Change out the water every other day.

Right I bought some at the supermarket, I know it's just cheap scentless roses for €6 but it's so stupid that they are wilted a day after. I am going to see if the tricks in this video also help to recover the roses.

Lemon-lime soda works the best, I mix one part soda with two parts water. My guess is the acidity is just right and soda has fructose which plants love.

@@esther_8148for Christmas trees: - cut 4+ inches off and get in water ASAP - when cutting, make 1-2 slices a 1/2-1 inch up the trunk(allowing more surface area to soak up water) - ?I’ve heard to use warm water upon introduction? - never allow water to get low - get a Korean Fur, they hold their green needles longer

Keep the flowers upright until they are in water. Less air gets in the stem.

That’s what I’ve always heard, but considering flower stores keep them in refrigerators…I doubt warm water is good. It may help plants absorb those “food” packets? IDK.
