These are collage tools and items that I use every single time I work in the medium of collage art. Of course, if you are happy with only a glue stick, a package of construction paper and/or a magazine to rip out of…you CAN still make beautiful collage artworks. But, for my artistic process, I have found these supplies to be absolutely essential.

Ive been creating Fine Art collages for decades. I use Mod Podge matt for almost every task. Other glosses are available and are useful for other finishes.

I love the Sakura glue pen. I store mine tip-down and it makes a big difference to how it flows. Might be worth a shot if you’re storing yours flat. Also you might want to try reverse action tweezers; they’re a game changer. Basically they squeeze to release and grip when you’re not squeezing. They’re great for hand strength/pain issues, but also just great if you want to play around with placement without getting sore hands/crampy.

Have you used the squeeze type scissors, such as the Fiskars Easy Action? My sister in law swears by them for her collage art. They are more gentle on hands. I'm really enjoying your content, even though collage is not a style I work in (so far!)

I’m going to check out the Bearly Art glue - I’ve been using Art Glitter glue for bookbinding but it’s so expensive 🤦🏼‍♀️. The Bearly Art from what I can find is a fraction of the price and it’s also archival - I think you just saved me a lot of money! THANK YOU 🤗🙏🏻😃

I see on Amazon Canada that neither of them are cheap! No wonder I never use enough to make a secure long lasting bond! 😅

I think with any paper artworks it is good to seal the surfaces of the works with a matte or gloss medium, or a resin surface if you do not frame it.

Yes, sealing it is the best option. I was thinking, maybe I can take a high quality photo or scan before sealing it to keep a version with the raw paper look. I wonder if that would work to maintain the original look. Even matte medium changes the finish of raw paper.

I noticed you had Tacky Glue in with your glue collection, but don’t remember any mention of how it compares. How does it compare to school glue or Bearly Art glue? I use it a lot, but now I’m concerned that it may not be as durable as I had assumed. Thanks for the video! Great content!

Check out my GLUE testing video where I include it in the experiment- but, yes it works great!
