The last 15 years of my work as a P. I. I would go to Arizona for a month and visit most of the 7 towns. I like Sedona the best, due to the beautiful red rocks. The entire area is red rock, and the hiking is wonderful. One time I was maybe 1 mile from Sedona hiking around and decided to sit and just look at the beauty and rest. Around 15 min later I heard a noise to my left, and when I looked there was a deer standing 40 to 50 feet from me. We stared at each other for awhile then she ate some grass. When she finished, she looked at me again, then just walked off. The beauty of Arizona is hard to describe, but if you visit there, you'll go back again, and again. I'm moving to a rather small town on the first of September 1, 2021.

My great grandfather came out here after he and my great grandmother emigrated from Finland. They had a homestead in the UP, but the West drew him. He made friends with the Earps, Tom Mix, Annie Oakley, and Wild Bill. He wanted my ggm to resettle out here, but she said no, she was staying in Michigan. It reminded her of home. Then my parents moved out here in the early 50's, to Tucson. They had 5 kids then (I'm the youngest of 8). But they ended up returning to Wisconsin after a year. One of my brothers, during his rving days, stayed in Apache Junction for 2- 3 months every year. And now, my husband and I moved our family out here several years ago. I love it here.

I like Show Low. I have a few friends that just moved there about 6 months ago. Show Low has very friendly people and the weather is great, along with the price of property. The property tax is pretty cheap also. My friend purchased 5 acres and he paid $21,000 for it, so just over 4000 an acre and his property tax is about $250 a year. There was electric installed at the street and a electrical pole and box already installed on his property. He is having a septic tank installed and also a 2000 gallon water tank installed . He had 2 loads of pea gravel delivered when I was there and had it spread around for his driveway. He also ordered a 2 room 1100 sf Amish cabin, that cost him $30,000 plus appliances and he also ordered a 700 sf shed/workshop from the same place. He also purchased a large aluminum carport to park his motorhome under along with his car and a few toys. He is also having 3 slabs of concrete poured next April for the cabin, shed and carport. When its all said and done he is going to be in it at about $95,000 , less than $100,000. That's awesome. I think I'm going to do the same thing. If anyone is thinking about purchasing property, they better do it soon, the longer you wait the more expensive it will be. Do it before the SHTF, because it's coming and if you wait until that happens you will be Shit out of luck. Take care Brother. Hawk out!!

When I lived in Nogales many years ago, some of the miners lived here and would take the bus to Bisbee and return in the afternoon. Equally people from Bisbee would ride to work in Nogales and leave in the 4:30 bus to go back. As well, back then if you blinked you would miss Tubac, Continental and Tumacacori. Now they are bedroom communities for Nogales and Tucson.

Although, I went back 10 years ago to visit some friends and I couldn't believe that parts of town where I used to eat and shop was totally closed down along with most of the mom & pop stores that I used to shop. While living there, I have visited some of the small towns (Tombstone, Bisbee, Douglas, Sierra Vista, Flagstaff, Oro Valley, and around the Phoenix area. I am Planning a cross country trip on horse back for next year and wasn't sure if I wanted to add Arizona on the trip, but after viewing your channel on small towns, I'm thinking about reconsidering. Born and Raised in AZ. Surprised you didn't include Williams, Chino valley, Flagstaff, Prescott valley, Strawberry, oak Creek, Payson or Jerome.

Loved Williams so much, we left the heat and traffic of the Phoenix valley and moved there. "Gateway to the Grand Canyon", Kaibab National Forest with Ponderosa Pines, 4 seasons... it's heaven on earth!

I found Yarnell, and Peeples neat too. I did a motorcycle loop from New River, to Wickenburg, Congress, Yarnell, Peeples Valley, Prescott, Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona. Flagstaff, down Lake Marys road, Happy Jack, Strawberry, Pine, Payson, down to Fountain Hills. I was pretty blah by then so cut over to 101, to I-17 back to new river. That was just as fun as riding my dual sport from Cordes Lakes out bloody basin road . I went the Sheep Bridge, the rode down to Carefree. Through Cavecreek then back to New River. I've explored Bouse through Swansea to back side of Lake Alamo. Arizona has much to see!

What about flagstaff, Prescott and Payson are hidden though?? They are small but Flagstaff is a HUGE college town and ROUTE 66 (the most famous and iconic route in all of our country) GOES RIGHT THROUGH IT and Prescott and Payson are the two second most popular cities for az locals to visit for vacation or a “day up north” Strawberry is hella low key. They hardly have internet there!

We love Show Low and camp there a couple of times a year (Fool Hollow Lake)! My grandparents lived in Phoenix and had a Summer Cabin in Pinetop, so going there feels like vacation to me! But it is a pricey place to live year-round. This is why we have an RV.

Love Arizona but for retirement, especially in the Phoenix area, I see a major water supply issue. Also, Phoenix has become so crowded and congested. I love the hiking all over AZ.

Thank you. Have you ever done a video on Ajo? Very interesting history and it is a designated wildlife preserve area as well. Coyotes howling at night, Javelinas wandering the streets, amazing area close to Mexico and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The former famous Curley Art School, is still open, being used for housing, a pottery studio, with a wonderful small hotel, & an educational organic farming site where they give out free compost and you can volunteer. VERY small town, people are friendly. This is just a short description. There is a lot more!

Gosh every time I travel to Arizona from California I end up in Ajo. The bakery has the most wonderful muffins and there's the most unexpected sign above the door in the dining room lol! I'm not going to give it away, the muffins are too good to not recommend 🤠

I spent some time in Ajo. Not to far from the border. They had some nice cabins you can rent with a swimming pool for those hot summer days. Border patrol station is a few miles south and a little bit further south is a casino. A very beautiful place
