7 IB Math IA Method Ideas!!!

Күн бұрынHey everyone. In this video I am going to share with you some ideas for what mathematical methods you could do for the Math IA. You apply these methods to pretty much any topic that you are interested. Do your own research and use the videos below to help you out with your understanding.
IB Services
I go to a university with a lot of successful IB students. Together we collaborated to create a tutoring organisation to help offer 1on1 support for students going through the IB. Hiya, I love your videos! I was wondering if a statistical exploration comparing average athletes' performances with their performance in the Olympics would achieve a 7 in math sl. If not, would exploring the construction of bridges be a better idea?

This is very vague and completely depends on ur execution of the maths. Either could go either way in terms of score it depends on how well u apply the maths.

It could work if you just go in depth on the techniques and analysis. Showings equations for r and r^2 and calculating them for yourself for example

do you mind explaining what exactly you meant by creating a metric to gauge the popularity of your favourite artist's album and how you would incorporate the difference of means test in it? Also, is the difference of means test the same as a T-test?

Hi!! I would really want to do a difference o mean test and I've been digging up a lot of research of it, however, you said there was more of it than it seem (not so easy) could you maybe guide me on why is that? Im afraid the topic is too easy from what I've preliminary researched so maybe any concept that goes into it that is more difficult so that I can look it up? or any step of the process? IM in MAI SL btw

Is this good for math AA HL?

Could be depending on what approach you want to take and how you plan to do it. HL just asks you to take things a step farther, and theres always ways to go into more depth with the topics I suggested. I know some kids who would do volume of revolution of donut and did well. ANOVA can be pretty complex, ect.

If you do it all 100% correct and do a good analysis of conditions it could be correct. Don’t underestimate it as it can be quite complicated.
