Indonesian street food in Glodok, Jakarta Chinatown - In this video, I will take on an Indonesian street food tour of Glodok which is the biggest Chinatown in Indonesia.
To start our Indonesian street food tour in Glodok, we went for a delicious Bakso which is one of the most popular Indonesian street food dishes in the country.
To continue our Indonesian street food tour in Glodok, we had a traditional Chinese Indonesian cake called Pia and my absolute favourite food of the day, Kari Ayam.
Moving on with our Indonesian street food tour in Glodok, we went to the oldest coffee shop in Jakarta's Chinatown open since 1927 for a coffee break.
After that, we went to savour insanely delicious Kuo Tieh, or Dumplings stuffed with pork and vegetables. They were to die for.
To end our Indonesian street food tour in Glodok, we went to a legendary place for Nasi Ulam, a combination of rice and many side dishes that will leave you absolutely shocked.

you are the best person who can convey how amazing Indonesian cuisine !! Indonesia have a lot of foods and drink by different culture, some KZfaqr only show some "basic" dish we have, but you always find some unique dish that i wouldn't even know before, and you can present it the best as some foreigner don't like spicy, don't like the smell, don't like the texture, etc ... you are the best person so far that can present how amazing Indonesian cuisine to the world, and i really thank you for that .. if posibble, i hope you can show the dish all around Indonesia from 38 province we have, and if the chance come maybe you can visit my place in Belitung island, we sell tourism as our main product, but we also have our local dish and drink, mostly seafood and chinese influece cuisine .. once again, thank for staying in Indonesia and present this country to the world !! ❤❤❤

Either way, you’re always welcome in Indonesia 🇮🇩❤️🇮🇹 You had some of the favorites in Jakarta’s Chinatown like _bihun kari_ and _nasi ulam_ but these are some of the safest choices as well 😁 There are more “exciting” and certainly more “exotic” things there, as you might expect of Chinatowns around the world. Sup kacang tanah Pak Eddy (1st floor of old Chandra building); it’s been around since 1960s 2. Pi oh (turtoise soup) in front of Kopi Takkie → also quite legendary 3. Soto Tangkar (further down the Pia seller) Buon appetito!

Oh you should try the sate padang, just next to the nasi ulam. Or probably he did not open on that day? And there's another bakso, just a few more step from the pia (in the alley), and next to the bakso, there's a gado2. Another alley (heading to Glodok), a bigger than the pia alley, you will find on the right side (maybe 50m) there's a small cart selling asinan bogor (to take away)...this one is a must (they have 2 kinds, fruits and veggies. Love them both, for the veggies, ask for peanut sauce) and next to him, there's mi kau pan (I'm not sure what's the Indonesian name for this dessert/snack. We just call it mikaupan (a cake from rice flour prob). you can eat it with a sauce from palm sugar and fried garlic with oil...my childhood snacks...and so hard to find it nowadays). There's also a chicken/duck curry (just like the one you ate with vermicelli), but located inside the Chandra building (next to petak enam). Just went inside the building till the foodcourt, you will find kari bihun bebek. Yummy. There's also otak-otak (from the bakso location, walk around 50m? dengan kali di sisi kanan, until you find gerobak selling otak2. So much to eat in Pancoran. Hope you enjoy all the foods. Will be there next month, can't wait.
