yup, although I agree with everyone that eden probably wasn't lying about the kid, except I don't 100% believe in the being kicked out thing... it just sounds off. Seems like she jumped on that train cuz a few of the players needed help with rent and their reasons were quite legit.

Yeah, the "you're not a parent, so you don't understand" crowd gets on my goddamn nerves, tbh. Being a caretaker does not make your life more important than others, it means you decided to take on more responsibilities, so do that. Parenthood is a choice, whether you want to admit or not. And you shouldn't guilt anyone into providing for/aiding you OR place your parental obligations onto anyone else. Will some shit be harder? Yes, but that's the job you signed up for, stop treating your kids like fucking handicaps.

Eden is definitely lying. There’s so many different types of assistance for single parents. She definitely gets food stamps, cash assistance and the child tax credit. And i find it hard to believe she gets absolutely no help from anyone

Agreed. My mom had 0 income, got child support from 1 of her 3 baby daddies and food stamps yet she was still able to pay rent, bills, got food, and got alcohol. It was what killed her but the fact she could still feed her addiction as well as pay rent and bills shows a lot.

In my opinion if one has stress at work, there are always other ways of working that out. You don’t always have to quit. Quitting was her personal choice and even after quitting the job, she does not have rent problems. That must tell you that she is financially well off.

I feel like the girl with the pink hair shoulda gotten the money. She has a medical reason she can’t get a job. Jobs are in high supply right now so I feel like not having a job is a valid reason. Don’t get me wrong I feel for Eden’s kid. I grew up with a single mom and life hasn’t been easy but my mom went out and had multiple jobs and worked her ass off to put a roof over my head and food on my plate.

Having a kid doesn’t entitle you to the money. Eden acted like there was no way anyone could possibly deserve it more than her just because she has a kid. As someone who also can’t work because of chronic pain and illnesses, McKee should have gotten the money. Unless you have chronic pain or illnesses, you have no idea how hard it is to live with. And then trying to survive in our capitalistic society while not being able to work; it’s so overwhelming and horrible. McKee was so sweet and respectful and didn’t try to emotionally manipulate everyone like Eden did the literal entire time. This pissed me off. Eden is super manipulative and she didn’t deserve to win.

I think the main issue with Eden was that she never explained how she ended up in a situation like this and why she doesn’t have any support. Obviously she doesn’t own anyone an explanation but when you are going into this feeling like you deserve the money the most you should show maybe more vulnerablility so people can connect to you and trust your story. I can’t blame Audrey for thinking she was lying when she just gave one word anwser - “no”.

In my opinion Eden should’ve approached this differently. She basically went in dictating that it be a pity party, the group collectively decided to do so as well throughout the game. Ok, pity party then. But notice how she got defensive when she was asked about details regarding her situation? If you’re gonna pull that card then actually stick to it, make yourself vulnerable, explain without getting catty. Health matters just as much as a home, gaining insight would’ve been great to see who really needed it, not just who went all cutthroat for it.

Yeah, this. People only come across as "likeable" on this show if they demonstrate empathy and generosity to the other contestants, and if they are able to gracefully accept being voted off. But it's hard to be empathetic and generous if you are in survival mode and truly desperate.

And she even acknowledged that her situation and how she got the money was based off of people feeling bad for her, even she didn’t want that. But she had to if she wants to keep a roof over her and her kids head. Tbh I think you and half the people commenting about how Eden handled this don’t understand the struggle of a single parent let alone a single parent who has no money and is struggling to keep a home for herself and child. Mckee should have gotten the money, Eden is healthy, she can work?? And provide for her and her child? What's keeping her from doing that? Almost every mother is working nowadays?? Mckee is LITERALLY has a disease that prevents her from working?? Like what else do you want? Having a child is 90% of the time is a CHOICE, but getting sick is never an option, anyone of us can get it. Mckee needed it the most and she was still cute at the process. Whereas Eden... Annoying as fuck.
