I agree entirely about the protocol with employees. I was a waitress then promoted to boss. In my insecurity of my new position I would help my staff way too much. Then I would find that they would treat me like a fellow worker!! Leaving hard chores for me to complete at the end of the day. Or they would come late knowing that I am the soft boss. The advantage they take when you don’t set boundaries is immeasurable. Something else we as black ppl are not sheep, we all are strong minded ppl. Remember we started the human race so there is nothing wrong with our wilfulness. But if you are employed you have to obey... If you are not strong enough to deal with strong willed ppl, your own business will suffer. Many western business prefer to keep black ppl especially the men - down for this reason. Understanding our uniqueness is key. We are not lazy or ignorant but we can spot weakness in character and will take advantage where we find it. Incentives are absolutely key!!
