Liz Belem first time only 5 mins a cast member took us down a passage and got us to the front of the line because we got talking about how we’re from the UK etc ... the other two times were only about 40mins max

Thomas B sorry, but I’m not buying. Never would a cast member risk their position in this way, given the fact that if anyone saw you, they’d cause a riot - understandably so, since you would have cut in front of hundreds of people. Even if a cast member had offered, never would I accept this and go out of my way to be rude to hundreds of other guests.

I heard another cast member said this. Apparently guests kept asking him where all the rides were. I even heard from someone that when they went as a kid, they hated it because there were no rides. She had no idea of who Figment even was! No wonder people act like EPCOT isn’t for kids. They don’t realize that they need to physically go inside the pavilions to ride anything!

UmmYeahOk I guess they expect to be like magic kingdom? We do get asked a lot where soarin is but I can understand that, it’s inside the land pavilion. You can go snorkeling in the aquarium, you can interact with dolphins in the aquarium, if scuba certified you go scuba diving in the aquarium. I like to eat breakfast at trails end & they have carriage rides, horseback riding, archery lessons, they’ll take you out fishing. There’s so much more to do than just rides & some people don’t even know about the rides!

We had Same experience when my wife had ankle surgery and was in a wheelchair, People in the parks were either super friendly and considerate or just plain rude. Best memory was of one of the employees making her a “Cast” member. Lol.

Alexa Kiss my mother is disabled and we LOVE the Disney parks. We’ve found that it’s just easier to bring her own chair or rent one from a place in Orlando because there’s a high demand for ones in the park due to people using them as stroller for their kids. It’s also a hassle to get one and takes away precious park time to be riding rides or enjoying the food and views

I also have an invisible disability and had the same concern! I went about 5 weeks ago, just before the shutdown. Wheelchair rentals from the park are $12 for a day. If you're bouncing between parks, make sure you hold on to your receipt, because you can return the chair and get a new one at the next park if you need to

I too have been in your shoes. I didn't want to push my chair around all day for just 30 minutes of use, or however long I needed it. You can forgo picking up a wheelchair at the begining and when you need one ask any cast member and they will get you a temporary wheelchair. You should go the rental location in the park you are visiting and swap it out for an all day use chair with a name tag so nobody will take your chair. It will cost you $12. The temporary one is free, but you should really switch it for an all day chair. Unless you only have an hour left in the park or are going to return the temp chair when you are doing better.

If you really need it you can also rent a ECV. In the early days I wasn’t as bad, and I didn’t need them, but one year after a couple of good days I really needed something more and I was able to get one of the parks scooters. It saved me missing a whole day in the parks.

Pssh! All the suggestions above take time and money. In the spirit of this video, every Disney pro knows that there are lots of people in wheelchairs and scotters every day and many of people leave them parked outside rides, restaurants and shows. If the need arises, you can just take one of those. If the need passes, it’s much easier to ditch a stolen wheelchair than to return a rental. (You can’t put a pricetag on this kind of insider info. 😁)

I saw one tip where you start the day trying for a rise pass - then walk to the international gate to Epcot to avoid the studios crowd until your pass opens. I haven't been yet, but I would consider it if I had season passes or a parkhoper.

Yes!!! Depending on the budget, Uber, Lyft, or other carpool options saves SO much time and stress instead of trying to cram into that bus everwhere we go.

It’s about a 15 minute drive (assuming there’s no traffic) from Pop to Hollywood Studios. It honestly doesn’t matter what time you get to the park, as long as you, and your WHOLE party are scanned into the park BEFORE 8am when those boarding groups are released, you have just as much as a shot of getting a boarding group as those who got scanned in at 7am. But that doesn’t mean that you’re guaranteed a group. It really doesn’t make a difference whether you’ve been scanned in since 6am or 7:55am because you still have the same probability of getting a boarding group. Now if you have issues, GR will tend to pull lots of strings if there’s proof you were one of the first inside the park. It’s out of courtesy, because we understand how stressful and exhausting it was for families to wake up at 5am to get there right when we allowed guest in at 7am then watch them stand around for an hour before they got their groups and then an issue comes up. PERSONALLY, I would say to leave around 7ish, and get into the park no later than 7:30am.

I hope so, but we will just have to wait and see. I heard from my phone's weather app that a COVID-19 vaccine may be ready by October, but it would just depend then on how fast we could get it rolled out.

Dr. Fauci and Dr. Redfield both say that the fall is going to be hit with the virus again. So, while it's disappointing to have to cancel a vacation, it's far better than cancelling a life. There's always another time when it'll be safe for you and your family.

I think it’ll probably be open, but with as many health and safety precautions they’ll have to take it won’t be worth the money and hassle. Myself, personally, I’m planning my trip without dates in mind and will pick my days after a vaccine is mass-distributed.

Wee-Sen Choo I believe hard ticket events don’t allow fastpass reservations 30/60 days in advance. If you link your party ticket to your band, you can make fastpass reservations when your inside the park. That is what I remember doing anyways
