7 Nights Onboard SKY PRINCESS | Part 2 of 2

Join us as we take a seven night cruise on board sky princess to Scandinavia.
In Part 2 we enjoy the ports of Copenhagen, Oslo, and Skagen. The itinerary was slightly amended due to a fault with a diesel generator onboard, so most of our ports had reduced time, so although we didn't get up to much in the ports we had a very relaxing cruise and very much enjoyed what we did get up to.
In Copenhagen we visited Tivolli Gardens, where we spent a few hours admiring the scenery, gardens, and attractions. Tivolli Gardens is a must do tourist attraction in Copenhagen and we would love to go back in the future if we have more time in port.
Once back onboard we visited the buffet for a spot of lunch before heading to the theatre to watch 5-Skies. 5-Skies is an immersive show which included music, dancing, and acrobatics.
The following day we dock in the Port of Oslo, although we were originally due to dock at 8am, we didn’t arrive into the port until gone mid-day. Therefore, we decided that instead of rushing around the city and not taking it in, we would spend the time taking a nice casual walk around the modern marina area. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, and view points to take in on our walk around, and again would love to go back in the future.
In the evening, after dinner, we headed to the pool deck to enjoy ‘Movies under the stars’, the movie of the evening was Ant-Man, we really enjoyed this relaxing experience and would recommend it to all - weather permitting of course.
Day 6 and we visit the Port of Skagen, Denmark. Although we didn’t leave the ship (as we had work to do), we spent the majority of the day chilling onboard followed by a meal at Sabatini’s. Sabatini’s does carry a cover charge, but the meal is incredible. Our only negative is that there was too much food, by the time we reached our fifth (yes, fifth) course we were far too full to enjoy our main and dessert. And this is coming from two guys who spend a lot of time in the buffet on our cruises. If we were to eat there again, we would most likely skip a couple of courses, or ask for smaller portions so that we could enjoy the full dining experience.
Day 7, and it’s our final sea day as we make the return journey back to Southampton. We like to walk around the ship on our last day and just take everything in once more, from the sights, the sounds, and the shops - always the shops!
And just like that we wake up in Southampton ready to leave the ship and head back to reality, it really is the worst day! The disembarkation process was very quick and efficient and we really couldn’t fault it at all.

I was on the same cruise with my family, we were so lucky with the weather, great food, drink and itinerary. Thought the five skies show was really impressive and the kids clubs kept my sons entertained. Really enjoyed watching your vlog, thanks!

Hello lads Really enjoyed your vlog on 2 counts. First, have done that cruise on Arcadia (our Danish friend says it's pronounced 'Skargen' as in 'scar') and it was nice to see the old ports again. I did pick up a tip from Arcadia people to avoid going back at lunchtime on board (awful queues) and there were about 1500 less passengers on Arcadia! Also as that was an adults only ship I was careful to book the cruise on Sky after the kids went back to school. It should be much less crowded then as it did look very busy on your vlog. Second, I am going on Sky Princess for first time the third week of September for 24 days cruising to Boston and then all the way round to Quebec and back to Southampton. Long cruise this one! I am on a deck below you but am in the 'open area' between the lifeboats and actually overlooking the Sabatini restaurant so should not get lifeboats in the way hopefully. I did study the deck plans in detail to avoid any obstacles in front but the cabin is cheaper because they say it is 'obstructed' view and the balconies are larger because it is the 'curved section' like an elongated U shape. (Also thanks to cruise booking lady who also confirmed an open vista at sea from the balcony). I loved your vlog because you are so relaxed and laid back and the food looks really nice. I am on my own so the cabin should be big enough for one as it is the same size as yours (but with a bigger balcony) The balconies did look small compared to the P&O ships. I think it will get some getting used to being on such a big ship as I only have cruised on the smaller P&O ships (Aurora, Arcadia, Oriana and then Azura and Ventura). I steered clear of the gigantic ones like Britannia and Arvia and Iona. I do hope this one won't overwhelm me and I manage to find a seat in the various venues. I have read about people unable to sit where they wanted due to lack of chairs etc on this ship. Your vlog was comforting in that respect as you didn't seem to have any problems there. So thanks again, I feel happier after having seen your own experiences and the cabin you had more or less identical to mine. I will miss a sofa as also had that in my P&O cabins but this cruise was so reasonable for the length of time and where it was going compared to what P&O could offer! Literally a thousand plus pounds less!! I also booked Princess Plus for very little extra. Did you have that too? it includes all drinks, tips and wi fi so seemed a sensible option. I literally have never been on a cruise and since you popped up on my KZfaq I absolutely love watching your videos, I'm obsessed, you 2 are by far my favourite vloggers. And because of you guys I'm hoping to go in 2026 once my daughter is in Uni, keep posting 🥰

I love Sabatinis, my favourite dish is the buratta. As you say there is SO MUCH FOOD! I would advise booking an early time, if you eat too late and are so stuffed you end up bloated at bedtime. Loved your vlogs, where are you off to next?

Sorry for the late reply, had an issue with KZfaq comments. Haha, we would go again, but maybe not have all of the courses on offer. So glad you enjoyed watching our vlogs! Our next trip is onboard Iona for a trip to the Norwegian Fjords.
