There are good things about 1, 2, 3, and 4. Lightweight is great for jobsites. The strength and versatility of 4 with that I-beam is also a great idea. You did a very good job of explaining each of these - thanks!

#1 and #2 are awesome, great job for creating each sawhorse with one simple 2x4 and making them so they're easy to store flat when not in use.

I was rewatching this because I'm gonna make some of your little saw horses tomorrow or Sunday. I have some 3/4" sheets of melamine to cut down and that stuff is HEAVY! I do NOT want it any higher off the ground than it needs to be until it is cut to size. I'm building a miter sax station for my new shop! :)

The # 4 is one of the quickest and strongest to make, plus it is stack-able. Two of those, some planks, or 3 2 x 4s and a sheet of plywood make a quick picnic table.

I dig the multi level saw horse. Anything with a bonus feature I love. Great video as usual!

I like the sawhorse that has hinges vertical (opens horizontal) best. If you size it just right, you can add the string to keep the legs together and use it either horizontal or vertical. Move the two outer boards in just a little and you have four feet when horizontal. I have to use my table saw and miter saw outside on the patio. If I set the distance properly, then, the horizontal side of this saw horse could match the height of the miter saw while the vertical sides could match the table saw for an outfeed table. Or I could add a piece of plywood on top of the vertical version or two of the horizontal versions for a workbench.

The little one, no doubt about it. Its very sturdy, stored away easily, and in my opinion, its easier to saw when you can stand higher then your workpiece.

I think I might like #2 (0:52) -- I might have to try that! (Though I think I'll do 32" legs... I'm tall, so why not, and anyway that's what the wood provides!)

I love anything space saving. I do like that little stool but might use a scrap 2x8 on the top. Have to check how safe that may be. This old grandma can't seem to reach anything!!

You should not use any of these designs when you are cutting fire wood. You need the one where the legs extend over the log and hold it firmly in place. It has three crossed legs to hold it and it folds.

Any timber you want to saw should be fastened. Most people dont do it, because its too much of a hassle, but it should.
@flashwashington2735

Those are not called sawhorses. They are saw bucks. And I use couple of cut limbs to elevate work piece I have also made mortise trunk crosses from the same felled tree to break down the work. Why buy anything or make anything, but what's at hand onsite, only carry what you need. Bull rope, chainsaw, tree saws forrest axe wedges, stone, spare chains, sharpeners, 4" deck screws, ½ cordless hammer drill, truck tools. Maybe add a splitting maul. That will get you through a hella lot a work.
