Paul Passat no idea some one better qualified than me will have to answer that but para training means para training these people have to be able to go where the paras go and do what they do thats why they are not ordinary gunners

Ronald Fitzsimmonds. Don’t show your ignorance, 7 Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery are real Paras , they do P company without having the amount of preparation as the infantry Regiments and still beat beat them in March and Shoot competitions

7 PARA RHA are para-trained gunners; who complete pre-para/P-company and BPC to fulfill their role within 16 AA Brigade. Ronnie Fitzsimmons knows this for sure! and is highlighting that PARA REG Officers do the same All Arms P-Company as the support arms within the Brigade. The term `real Paras`...is a bit ambiguous, and will be for evermore, but I understand anyone with association to the Parachute Regiment Battalions gets pi$$ed off if blokes go around larging it up saying they are `Paras`, which IMO indicates they have done depot para to join the Parachute Regiment infantry battalions. Anyone who has passed P-Company and is part of the Brigade should be proud of it and the job they do, and the history of the Airborne Forces.
