You forgot a fact: Gary is literally the best trainer to ever exist and every time he loses is a fluke. He is so amazing that he can get more badges then the amount that actually exists in any particular league. The only reason he hasn't taken over the world yet is because he's humble.

Ash's old rival Gary Oak maybe cocky from the very beginning of Pokemon Series when he first started out as a Pokemon trainer but at least he had achieved something on his journey which Ash has always failed to do and that's catching more Pokémon, train them and evolved them. Plus Gary did keep swapping his Pokemon more unlike Ash who refuse to swapped his Pokemon except on his Unova Journey. I know that Gary Oak's cheerleaders that followed him around everywhere he went in the original Pokemon Series until after Gary lost the Kanto Pokemon League that they suddenly disappear in the series until they all appear again in the Johto League were Gary face his rival Ash in the Quarter finals. But what has happened to the Cheerleaders after Gary lost to Ash since they're not seen again?

If you don't know, in Japanese culture, you treat people differently if they're older or taller than you, typically with more respect, and if someone is younger and shorter, then you can get away with treating them like a kid. So if they're both the same age AND height, then they're 'equal' and would be more determined to one up the other, especially considering that we don't even know what Red's family is, but Blue's family has a world famous professor, he couldn't possibly allow some unknown to be his equal, etc.

About the cheerleaders, in the manga; Electric Tales of Pikachu, apparently, the cheerleaders were a gift from Gary's uncle (yeah, the major of Pallet Town).

in some aspect tho the anime and games arnt "directly" linked but more on the style of multiple universes time lines or whatever you wanna refer to it or mirrorverse as red was considered to have captured all 151 pokemon including legendaries while ash....has barely caught 70

Check out my HeartGold Garylocke on my channel, I can only use Pokemon that Gary used in the anime and I only get one shot to catch them each area. Rules in the video description.

um... a possible reason for the name change/gender bending of the character that beat Gary in the Indigo League Conference could be the same reason why they changed Lorelei's name to Prima - they needed a name that had the same syllable count, and due to time, maybe that was the first one they thought of...?

Red and Blue are rivals because they're the same age and the same height? They're only 11 years old! Once they hit puberty (assuming they're not forever 11 like Ash is forever 10) and start growth-spurting, they're not going to be the same height anymore (probably). That's kind of a dumb reason to see someone as a rival.

Theory blues dad is Gary and reds dad is ash but Ik everyone’s saying how is oak Gary’s grandpa he’s not he’s his great grandpa but blue and red died and that’s why the last time you see him is in sun and moon so when Gary was born he took the title of Gary’s “grandpa”
