The shutter sound is Boss!!!

with my 5d it is by far the most beautiful images I can take, I love my "kodachrome digital camera"

Such cameras will always be loved by photographers or photography artists.

I'd love a 5d, however I just bought a Canon 30d 2 weeks ago. The 30d was my first dslr some 12 years ago, used examole, and I always felt it had a great image quality. I managed to buy an excellent condition 30d from a dealer for £39 it was sold with intermittent scroll wheel fault. However quick search of internet showed fix of using some methylated spirit. 2 min fix one great camera. The 30d is often compared to the 5d in terms of build quality and almost identical functions and layout.However it is a crop sensor camera but gives similar image quality, not just up to the 5d. But for what I paid I'm having great fun. There is life in these old cameras yet. I actually like no video, no live view and not too many extra non essential functions.

I've got this one and a fujifilm xe2, I really love my 5D it's so comfortable, easy and fun using it. The colours are awesome and really I prefer use the 5D than de fujifilm. Love it

That 5D is worn down to such a mirror finish, it says "witness meee!" every time you take a photo lol

*You are very lucky to purchase a reinforced one!* 5D mirrors (with serial numbers starting with 0 and 1, BTW which is yours?) tend to fall off and according to what you've shown, your item has already been fixed and reinforced - 1:02 the stripes on the sides of the mirror indicate that! Until 2016 Canon did it free of charge to anyone. But mine had mirror fall off a month ago (after about 1.5 year of use) and I had to pay service to get it fixed without reinforcement (parts no more available). Anyway, mine is OK now and I love it. Hope to see more videos on 5D from you!

Built like a tank, beautiful shutter noise, fantastic battery life, more than acceptable image quality. Bought one a year ago, sold it like an idiot, bought another last week.

I'm looking at a few on ebay as well. I've always loved the look of the 5D paired with some vintage lenses.

You're probably not even using the 5D any more but, I noticed as soon as I saw your images it looked like you've got it set to Adobe RGB, later in the video I saw that indeed you did. Try the sRGB setting for less intense red colour cast and more natural looking output!

I like the 5d mk1 I have had 2 or 3 all good sold some, one went bad

Great camera

New cameras have live view. I can see them improve on the image on the spot by changing ISO or shutter spit. I do not think you can do these changes with the Classic. Am I wrong ?

Great video but a quick audio tip In between your sentences there’s what’s called dead space If you listen between each sentence when you start speaking you inhale and exhale You want to cut this out to make a cleaner much more pleasing audio but be careful to not make natural spaces between sentences too short

Hey really awesome video review i found it very helpful. I just picked up my 5d with this same setup as yours (50mm f1.8 stm).I have two questions with regards to the 5D classic and this lens. How do you change the aperture on Manual Mode. 2. How do you get to make this lens barrel retract when you turn your camera off because mine still sticks out ofter using the camera. Thanks 🙏🏻

The cheap price in rhe used market should not be the reason to buy Canon EOS 5D. Had it been available new on the distributors' shelves now, I would certainly buy it for 2.5k dollars.
