I had a container grown carambola that had very nice fruit when I lived in cen. Fl.Now I got it growing up here in eastern Tenn. in a 7 gallon container and its doing well. Of course it' ll come inside when we get hard frosts.I enjoy your videos a lot. BTW Im growing hardy citrus trees- a Satsuma,a ten degree tangerine,and two US492 hybrids that are hardy down to 5-10 degrees F. Happy growin' ,y'all!

Beautiful tree. How cold was the cold spell that caused your tree to defoliate? And what zone are you in?

We are in zone 9B. Young starfruit can be very finicky and are affected extreme changes in temperature, moisture etc. it got down to 28 degrees at our property and most of our plants suffered some sort of cold damage
