Once you open the trunk there is a lever on the left inside the trunk that allows you to open the drivers door w/o having to crawl into the car.

When you use the key for the trunk, there's a small cable on the left side you pull and it will open your door if the battery is dead, so like the door release by the driver for stuck inside, cable in trunk for locked out due to dead battery

This is all stuff you should know you buy it , doesn’t anyone read the manual or get to know the car nowadays

From there you have a cable to pull to open the driver's door

That slot in the column for the fob. Is only for when the fob battery is dead. Not car battery.

( No judgement ) I’m 18 and live in the basement at home but I know if I move I’ll have better options , even if I have to start paying rent ( I live rent free but everything else I pay to take care of myself ). I have a few locations that I’m considering moving to in mid September. I also took advantage of my situation and saved a couple grand. Cool car by the way ❕

Ummmmm..... thats all common sense stuff on many cars. Was really hoping you would teach me something new about my C7. Also, you don't climb into the trunk when you need to use the key. There is a pull cord to pop the drivers door in the back. You obviously aren't a real car guy. Have you owned any cars before your C7?? Lol...... 🤡🤡
