There is no off season... Just "fishin' on da boat" season and "sittin' on da boat in my garage" season...

Thank You for the Information. Also in the Winter months remove the batteries & sit them on a Wood surface. NEVER on a Concrete floor. It always worked for me.

You said “I keep the batteries on the garage slab”. For people that don’t know, setting a battery on concrete will destroy your batteries. Make sure you put them on a 2x4 or something, if you store them on the floor

That was true of very early batteries, but that is a myth today with modern batteries. The important thing is to keep the case clean and neutralize any acid before storage. After that, you can put them on a concrete floor, wood or steel shelf, or whatever. They will discharge at the same rate.

Kept a many of batteries on bare cold concrete for months and they hold charge like new.

Actually, God forbid I'd ever have to...they are all failing anyway. But... my original comment was just to say I'm glad to live where I can ride my Harley year round and I never have to winterize my boats.

If I already took my boat off the water (missing the on-water fuel treatment step), and after I install marine Seafoam and maybe Stabil, how long should I run the engine with the motor flush attached in order to protect all the fuel and the engine?

How do you fog the engine?

Hi Jadon. Fogging four-stroke engines isn't necessary as moving parts remain coated with crankcase oil. Just make sure to use a fuel treatment with lubricating oils to keep the upper cylinder areas well-lubricated if the engine sits idle for an extended period of time. Are you kidding me?? 4 to 5 batteries??? WTF is wrong here? Conservationist should be WAY infront of this over priced horrible earth and whatever you want to call ecosystem this system has to be the worst gas guzzling, power needing things I've seen in years....NEXT
