Getting into pharmacy school is not getting more competitive. As a matter of fact, it's super easy! The average pharmacy school acceptance rate for 2017-2018 was 82.7%!

The 80% figure is misleading…. The average individual pharmacy school acceptance rate is about 10% and your overall chance of acceptance in a cycle year after applying to many pharmacy schools is 80%. Compared to medical school, individual rates of acceptance average at 5% with overall acceptance rate in a cycle year is 40%. So it is 2x less competitive as med school but still competitive nonetheless!

Hi again! So, it's to my understanding that pharmacy school is 4 years but, which fields require additional schooling? Like residency or fellowship. Thank you for all your insight.

Improve odds? The competition is when you graduate. Start "early"?, you can start in the parking lot and still score 2 seats. In fact, one may actually be enrolled and not know it, that's how easy it is. Anyone knows it's a waste of time and a non-degree.
