I remember a conversation Hassan had with Saboor Aly in some award show about coming on Something Haute to give an interview and Saboor said but you guys don’t say anything good about my work… so another category of actors who don’t want to give interviews - the selective actors who may not want to give interviews to a specific interviewer because of past criticism the interviewer may have made regarding their work😉

When I read the title of the video I thought.. 7 types of actors who don't give interview **the next 3 words being the reasons 1. Wabal - unki sucess ko wabal na aajai 2. Yunhi - bus aisay hi nahi daitay, unki marzi 3. Sajal doesn't give interview because she is socially awkward and not confident enough but her work speaks for her. Zaviyar and syra yousaf doesn't give interview because they don't have anything to talk about yet also Syra doesn't want people to ask her personal question. Danish and Ayeza don't give interviews because they can't defend their choices Ahmed ali akbar and Fawad Khan don't give interview because they wants their work to speak for them Bilal Abbas Khan doesn't give interviews because he is shy

Aamna defending fawad khan and pointing fingers at others for not giving interviews seem very biased to me. I do remember her actually calling out fawad for giving interview to anupama chopra during one of the previous haute bites when you guys discussed the rumors whether fawad or Humayun saeed is picked for the crown. I used to be very keen on haute bites but the direction of topics that is being picked to discuss is causing me to lose interest.

Amna’s thing is that she only wants to interview people with some intellect. She interviewed Aoushay Abbasi and it was a bad interview. Anoushay did not want to say much. But it is an interviewer’s job to make people talk. Amna is easy with people who have better awareness of what’s going around are ready/open to talk or they have so many past/present projects. On the other hand Hassan has the ability to talk to any one about any thing. He interviewed child actors (dil an umeed to Baji) and he did a good job.

Hasan, if it seems to you that Maya and Bilal have been seen together in the past it is because they have done lot of fashion shoots together, bridal shoots, even walked the ramp together, I think. Haven't seen any TVC of them yet, but they did appear together on Ahsan Khan's show. Also you forgot to mention Jaanan in Bilal's list of work.

When I was in 4th grade, our school did a collection drive for flood victims. I remember thinking the affected kids must be bored so I added story books to my donation bag. I remember the girls in my class found it hilarious and really didn’t think beyond the clothes and daal packs their mothers had put in the bags

Wow it’s very interesting topic you chose for today’s talk. I also think about it that many of our artist don’t give interviews and why. You have already described many good reasons. There is another category that there some actors who are even legendary actors and very well in their craft but when ever they give interview they say something which creates a controversy for them. And cause them damage for their image/ personality. I think they are not very smart to speak and don’t know how to choose words as for viewers they are heroes but yes very well in their craft.

Amna you are an amazing journalist, a critic, and wonderful observer. I don't know if you ever watched Anas Bukhash interviews but I feel you do have such ability to take out information from people. You are very honest and I think if people lie about something you have strength to cut out that part and I would say you should experiment and try something out of your comfort zone thats where a higher level of achievement lies MAYBE , and WHY NOT. I actually observed your interview choices. You like to interact with people who are very honest with their work and true to themselves but that should restrict your work. Hmm, with regards to the coke and ice discussion apparently the ice cold standards were set by fast food chains because it helps fast food go down the gullet more quickly. Combined with uncomfortable seats and harsh lighting they encourage their customer to spend and exit quickly to allow maximisation of profits. Apologies for rambling but have been listening to “a thorough examination” podcast so couldn’t resist🙃

There’s another category..those actors who believe they are way too famous and accomplished to give interviews to the Pakistani media. They believe, they already have a large fan following and don’t want to became too accessible. By not giving interviews they remain elusive and this gives the appearance they are really busy and above giving interviews. I think these actors would jump at the chance to give an interview to Hollywood media though!

My 2 cents on coke Amna you can’t pour little little coke over lot of ice- bcoz the coke goes flat in the time you enjoy sip by sip the rest in bottle goes flat. In US here you ask Coke they give 70% ice and then fill coke-that way it get diluted after 10 mins of ice melting. The best way is have chilled coke with 2 cubes of coke to keep it chilled and enjoy the fizz. Hassan- Coke has alternative to sugar - Artificial sweeteners (Sucrlose- or Splenda, Aspartame ) may be derived and processed by chemical synthesis. If you are looking to have zero sugar coke as a daily drink- not good from health perspective but once in a while fine. The better sugar alternatives are plant based ones- Stevia, Monk Sugar extract Sugar alcohol again is another topic when it comes to Xylitol eythirol or sorbitol are derivatives of sugar. Coke is Sucralose which is a chemical synthesis of sugar so better avoid. Hope it makes sense

Fawad Khan use to do interviews, in India when he did the Bollywood films , he also did a crazy interview with Mahira Khan who had her own show at the time! He has been out of the drama loop for a while, so I doubt if he has anything to say! I’m just. Rewatching Zindagi Gulzar Hai and realised what an amazing actor he is,pity he is not doing more dramas, and his film Maula Jutt took years to be released apparently on November! His Dastan was great yet painful, and the comedic drama Asgari and Akbari was fabulously funny!

Hi Guys! Really enjoyed this episode. Can I please request a topic for haute bites? It’s the makeup and styling of actors. Why do they have to over do the lashes and the wigs/weaves. It’s such a huge turn off. I’m sure of you guys do a haute bite, many producers and directors will Notice and maybe not pressurize the actors to go through that look. We have such good looking and talented people but they all seem to share the same look. Both for male and female.

It is correct that we haven't contributed that much to the climate change since we are not an industrial country but it was evident that we would be most affected by it. Around a decade ago a Birtish Author Anatol Lieven in his book 'Pakistan a hard country' wrote that the greatest long term threat to Pakistan would be the climate change, even more than its security issues. And that is what we are facing today. Where were all our institutions all these years? Why couldn't we prepare for the situation and why couldn't we build more dams or plant more trees? Because the establishment and politicians are all leaches feeding on this country's assets, they don't give a damn to the deteriorating situation. This is not limited to this year. We are so unconcerned about change that we treat is as a first world issue. Where as we will be affected the most. We had the most forest fires and glacial melt this year than ever.

For Hassan’s question about Coke Zero , it is indeed supposed to have no calories . I have heard a lot of opinions against these low calorie drinks due to the adverse effects of artificial sweeteners on health and that they make you crave carbs etc but they do indeed have no calories and are fine when taken in moderation I think . Esp for people struggling to give up soda loaded with sugar which is way more harmful .

Please review the drama wehshi it’s very different from normal dramas!!
