Not sure where you're getting £5 balloons from when most packets of small balloons are £1-£2. But you don't need ice cube trays either. A bag of ice cubes can be bought for £1, so neither of your arguments work

Well, balloons and rubber bands have a distinct after taste that happens after it touches anything. It's nasty and bitter. Try it any time; touch a rubber band or balloon, taste your finger (dirty but how else)

2:00 that flip hack works a lot better if you fill up a balloon (lack of vocabulary, greetings from Germany), tie the end and cut off the top part. Then flip it over that paper roll and stick it together with TESA film. fill in some pieces of paper and flip. There you go with a confetti canone
