I recently moved abroad and whenever I feel drained I call a friend from back home and feel recharged after the conversation, regardless of what we were talking about. A friend calling me brightens my day. If you want to call a friend just call them, don't stress about the timing or what they will think, it's a good habit to get into and keeps you better connected than messaging

Here are my suggestions: 1. Get plenty of sleep . At least 8 hours per night . Exercise regularly . Have a diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables and be careful where you get your protein .. 2. Put some effort into your relationships . Be nice to people and expect them to be nice to you . 3. Match your studies and your job to your talents and interests . Have realistic goals based on those talents and interests . Don`t underestimate yourself , but don`t over estimate yourself either . 4. Don`t clutter your life with too many clothes or too much furniture or more " toys" than you need . 5. Help other people . Volunteer or whatever , but make a point of helping others . 6. Work hard at whatever your " job" is but limit your work to 52 hours per week .

I watched this video yesterday. This morning at my doctor's appt, I looked around to make contact w/ a stranger. I exchanged hello's with the cleaning lady, then a fellow patient who I kept making eye contact with, told me to have a great day. On my way home, a man on the street apologized 'cause he thought he was blocking me. I said it's all good- and as we walked, he told me how his mom taught him to respect women, and always "ladies first." He said he had three other siblings but that his mom said he was her favorite. After that, I gave money to a homeless women then asked if she was okay. I'd never done that before- I usually just silently give money. She said that she couldn't get into the shelters. She said that she'll be getting help from her siblings soon but that she had to survive until then. I told her to keep trying the shelters and to keep strong. I went to Starbucks and bought some sandwiches for her and went home. All of this is kind of insane for me. It feels like I'm in a different world now

I highly recommend this course and I love that I can always go back and take the course just to refresh what I've learned and keep applying it to my life especially, indeed scary, uncertain times!!❤️🥰🙏🏼

You can be poor and still be happy. The issue is you're very focused on what you don't have rather than focusing on what you do have. Do one of the steps she said in the video: every night think of 3 things you're grateful of having in your life and your perspective will change and perhaps you'll become a bit more humble.

Thank God for Jordan Peterson who steers youngsters away from this sort of quackery. Calling this science really beats the cake. By the way, Psychology isn't a hard science and happiness is a byproduct. If youngsters are emotionally vulnerable these days it's because their weak helicopter parents have failed to accustom them to the hardships of human existence. I have an 18 and a 11 year old, raised by a set of principles propagated by professionals like Peterson (real developmental and behaviour psychologists) way before these professors came into the public eye and the results are simply staggering.
