One hour straight one one tune with super slow metronome. Left hand 2 feel roots and fifths. Melody only with right. Only perfect time. Repeat each phrase perfectly 3 times in a row. One hour don't stop. Transpose into all keys.

If I (can permit myself to) have time I will be playing from when I wake up to when I go to sleep lol... Also I have been digging deeper into like the mystical music traditions of the midde east and it has completely changed my approach to music, which I think translates to 'more feel' in my jazz solo's. I would also argue that learning a rhythm instrument and an instrument for harmony changes your approach to improvisation for the better

I feel that at least dabbling with other instruments adds huge benefits as a piano player, I have a bias towards musicians who can play at least a little bit on piano. That understanding of harmony is huge, but I'm also getting a lot out of studying bass, drums and trumpet. I think that trying to understand the challenges that other instrumentalists face helps me to be more empathetic and a more effective communicator in band settings.

I owe a lot to ireal pro I've learned about 5 standards recently. Just the chord progressions though. Not necessarily the melodies. Working off your list.

In music, rhythm is king, the melody is the queen and harmony the innovative child.... and to know the child you must first have a good idea about the parents imho

Couldn’t disagree more. You don’t need more time practicing with your instrument. If you develop real ears you almost need no practice at your instrument once the basic ability to play what you hear is achieved. Matter of fact drilling on mechanical aspects of playing will put you in reverse.
