If you ask the Lord to help you, he will. He has reminded me of scriptures when I needed them the most. One time I was in the bathroom looking into the mirror thinking that I am so fat and just that I’m ugly. And then all of a sudden “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” came up in my thoughts. I had no clue where that verse was from. And then Psalm 139:14 popped in my head. I went to my room and opened my bible and I flipped to Psalm 139:14 I was amazed by God and started to cry. He is just so loving and amazing!!! I love Him so much!!!!💖💖

I memorize scripture by highlighting, journaling & then reciting it repetitively, I also put some on my bedroom walls on sticky note pads, does anybody else do this? Haha but thanks for recommending other ways :)) sending you love from another Christian youtuber ❤

I am trying to read through the WHOLE Bible and I’m on Genesis chapter 42!!!!

Highlighting and index cards. I choose a scripture that speaks to me that particular day (or however long) and I recite it repeatedly. It works for me. It also helps me keep my thoughts on God rather than any unwanted emotions or thoughts that may try to creep in. Hope this helps someone💜

I memorized scripture by picking a verse (or a story in the bible) a week and every day I read it 💛 and by the end of the week I memorized it

I love Mentor Mama! I use flashcards to help me memorize Bible verses! I break apart the verse into a few different parts, put the different parts on different note cards, put the notecards in order, and just flip through them and read each card until I’m able to do it without the cards in front of me! 💕

Oh, my city! I used to work by the River & would sit out there at lunch time to read or whatever. This was so helpful . I don't know what I would do without God's Word. I think I'd lose my mind, living in this insane, broken, sin-sick world.

I memorize scripture by repeating it in my head/reading it over and over again. Also the more I memorize the easier it gets! I also write over and over again. These were wonderful tips!! Thank you!

I memorized the 23rd Psalm when I was very young. I memorized a lot of scripture when I was young and I think that's what has helped me through life.

Great tips! I love songs that include scripture as well. I can still remember songs that I sang on the children’s choir as a child. Many of the songs had scriptures in them, and that’s how I learned scriptures when I was really young.

YES. Such a helpful video. Thank you ❤️ my go to way is to rehearse Scripture verses in my head or out loud when no one is around 😊 also, writing them and posting them everywhere help me remember. Also, I’ve learnt that context is so helpful, knowing the context where the verse belongs help me to memorise certain verses quickly and it makes so much sense in my heart and head ❤️

I loved the video. I'd like to share about one way I like to learn verses. I struggle with falling asleep and I have noticed that when I'm repeating a bible verse in my head I fall asleep easier, plus I get the benefit of learning a new verse. So I pick up one verse before going to sleep and then I'm repeating it while falling asleep :).

It's amazing how I still remember Bible verses that I memorized from Sunday School & a group called Pioneer Girls! I'm definitely going to start today to get disciplined in memorizing more verses! I'm so happy this came across my explore page! As a kid my parents always encouraged us to memorize bible verses. I didn't want to at first, but the more I did the more I enjoyed it. I would find myself reciting verses in my mind if I was having a bad day as a way of consoling myself. As I got older I stopped memorizing verses and even forgot most of the ones I memorized. Lately I've been feeling God speaking to my heart to get back to memorizing verses. Thank you for the amazing tips! I plan on using a few of them to try to memorize more scripture.

Thanks for providing this! I love getting to help people memorize scripture with songs, but longer passages can be challenging to turn into meaningful songs!

My first verse in school was Psalm 23. We would write them down repeatedly and then be quizzed on them. That’s my favorite bible verse. ❤️ It’s good to have mentor mom back. Her videos are so insightful!

This was SO GOOD, so helpful! I’ve actually been doing memory verses for a few weeks now and currently I am memorizing Psalms 51: 10-12 💛

The cbt challenge helps me to read through the old testament. I use highlighters like you taught me to do. Also i have started versemapping. That is an awesome way to memorize.

My current favorite way to memorize Scripture has been using the Verses App! I try to pick a one verse a day from the chapter I’m reading and add it to a list for memorization. In fact, I’ve recently started making videos on these called “Verses of the Week.”

I just found the book USED on Amazon and paid $6! Your mom is just adorable

To memorize scriptures I bought clear plastic name tag holders on Amazon and I write the scripture on an index card and put it in the holder and then when I'm waiting at the doctors office or traveling or whenever I can I pull it out of my purse and work on memorizing it. It's a good way to have the verse with u without it getting crumpled or torn.

@coffeeandbibletime your mom, is the greatest ❤️! I am memorizing 1 Timothy 6:6 Godliness with Contentment is Great Gain, as my husband and I are doing FPU by Dave Ramsey. It is amazing how mighty our God is as he helped us save our emergency fund with mere days, that would have taken a month or more! Thank You, sharing all of the tips that you did. God Bless!

I’m going to learn psalm 63:5 which saids, “ you satisfy my soul with the richest of foods. My mouth will sing your praise with joyful lips.” I want to learn this scripture because I’ve been struggling lately with trying to get satisfaction out of other things or people when my satisfaction comes from God!
