2013 ARMY here, I first paid attention to pre-debut BTS because they were going to be the first rookie artists debuting under Big Hit Entertainment, which then housed 2AM (my favourite group in my teens). Hazy memories from their earlier days include me poring over their lyrics because they were the first artists I felt such a strong connection to lyrically. I remember watching their dance break practice videos over and over and over again because their synchronisation was the best I had seen (and still is the best). I loved their personalities and quirks and charisma. My heart ached because of all the injustice they faced in their earlier years, but even those have become vague memories now. As the years went by so many things happened with BTS and in my personal life, and there was even a period of time when life got so hectic that I dropped BTS for a year, though I found my way back to them eventually. I have so many memories of BTS attached to events in my life, so many BTS songs that trigger certain emotions or memories from the past 7 years. It’s hard to explain this feeling of having loved an artist through many many years, from teenage to adulthood (I'm the same age as Jungkook). After you pass a certain point, you know you’ll be supporting them pretty much forever.

man when you put it all in one video, i feel so sad lol. i've only been an army since 2016 and even since then they've changed and grown so much. i feel like i've grown to become a better person as well. i'm so proud of them for hanging in there. they truly deserve the world and all the happiness for all they've worked. happy seventh year bangtan. as the saying goes, we might not have been there from the beginning but we'll stay till the very end 💜💜

Watching this made me feel so many emotions... I'm so proud of them for how far they've come. It seems like just yesterday that all of those 2013 moments had occurred, and revisiting some highlighted moments from the past seven years only made my appreciation and adoration for BTS even stronger. BTS has been (and always will be) a huge inspiration for me, as I'm sure they are for countless others as well. I'm so grateful for them, and I'm just so glad that they exist! They've provided me with so many smiles and so much laughter. Whenever I've felt down or when I've needed motivation for whatever it is I'm about to do at that time, I always watch one of their videos or scroll through their pictures and memes... its a sure way to motivate and cheer yourself up. Their music is so comforting to me, and I listen to hours of it every single day. No matter what, there is always something BTS related in my daily life, whether its their music, videos, livestreams, or other content. Aside from that, I also spend a lot of time kPop journaling or drawing them, which is another way they are in my everyday life. Without them, my life would be so much different. They've provided me with so much inspiration to help me in my illustrations, motivation to aid me with getting through schoolwork, and many other things. They also encouraged me to begin learning the amazing Korean language! (which is coming along surprisingly well) I'm so glad that they made the decision to become a group, and deliver their positive message to people all around the world. Army is an amazing community that is unlike any other "fandom" out there, and I'm proud to be a part of it. BTS has created such a supportive and loving community, which is another thing to love about them. We are a very unique and special group of people, that is different from any other fanbase! I know that I'll most likely never get to meet them or even go to one of their concerts, but I still support them in the best way that I can. (buying merch, spreading their positive intentions/message, creating fanart, etc.) Hopefully one day I'll be able to see them in person and express my gratitude and appreciation for their work. Happy 7 years, BTS and Army!! Here's to another 7 years, and more after that to come! Fighting!! I purple you!!
