Have to say it: You all have the most waited for video for me on KZfaq and I look forward to them! Just simple people with 2 dogs and a simple relic Dodge camper is a cool life..70% of Doing Nothing in a RV is 100% a fun and quality filled life I would say. This video just popped up into my feed. I watch alot of travelling nomads so I guess it makes sense. I watched this video in utter silence when my house is asleep and I can honestly say first impression is….. i love it. It was serene. Tranquil. Calming. Warming. Yeah I taught her to swim in deep water, she’s got all the way to the other side if I ask her. We do big across lake swims in the summer.

I never grow tired of those lake and ocean views. To me, vanlife is about pretty places whenever possible, great meals and beverages, making good art and also making the best memories that you can. Ive been watching nomad/van life/ camp videos for years but your channel is by far the most genuine❤❤❤ive never sent anyone $ for a coffee but i tried to not sure if i did it right hope so...sorry it was so lil but it just me, 3 kids 2 dogs and a gecko so i dont have much $$. here’s a recipe if you’re curious to try Bulgogi! it’s delicious and sometimes can be found at Costco ;) but it’s easy to make! I used minced beef in the video but it’s usually made with steak cuts! damndelicious.net/2019/04/21/korean-beef-bulgogi/ ~ enjoy!! Let me know if you make it! You can eat it on rice or wrap it in a lettuce leaf with kimchi / pickles etc - Esther :)

Love love love your videos. Not to be debbie downer but was a tad concerned when Esther was squirting fuel on the fire. That could actually be very dangerous. The fire can travel back up the stream. Just a cautious reminder. This video was amazing and of course loved it. Just amazing scenery, as always ❤🕊️

I see a lot of van life videos where people escape the wage slave apartment in the poor section of town quiet desperation of civilization life and with the freedom to go anywhere and the time and energy to do anything they do... Nothing. I am not talking about being OK with the quiet and restful moments of life but of literally doing nothing with all of the freedom and time and energy to do things to fill a life with truly living. After the death march to nowhere of civilization I like anyone want time to sleep, to rest, to just sit and be... But I also plan on learning to play keyboard, learning to sing, learning to paint and draw, investing time to drop weight and get in shape, push myself to try new things. I am perfectly OK with being terrible at all of it but I want to use my freedom to live, to create, to build me and not just be a spectator. Van life can be a ticket to an extraordinary life that I think a lot of people pass on to just be spectators.

Yeah, you’re right. It took us a good 3 months of sleep and rest just to recover from a decade of energy put into careers. Now we are finding more awareness in the little moments, been fixing all the little ‘to do things’ on the van, wildling, leather making, cooking, guitar. And more time outdoors too (when it’s not raining). This is a special time that we are using wisely, but I’m sure we’ll look back and think hmm could have done a bit of this and that too.

That’s the good thing, you can do what works for you. We spend our life having to do things we don’t want to do to live. Enjoy YOUR time doing as little or as much as YOU like ❤. That’s the point!

I just came upon your KZfaq channel and I saw you parking near The Golden Gate Bridge on a very cold night......I love how you have your partner and 2 dogs and get to travel everywhere.......Yes, you can have a lot of money and a mortgage but what you have is a wealth of experiences and knowledge......Visiting as many places as you have you must be an encyclopedia of knowledge.....Much better than being rich.

Esther's pottery is beautiful. I love how admiring you are of her work. I hope she feels better by now. You mention going back to Australia for a visit. You are obviously from there with your wonderful accent. Where is Esther originally from? She sounds like she could be from the U.S. I thought maybe Canada, of course, but she doesn't seem to have that way that Canadians say "aboot" etc. I was also wondering what breed your doggos are. Are they an Australian breed? They almost look a little dingo in them.

Thank you! I’m a bit from everywhere so my accent will fluctuate depending on whom I’m with. But I’m born in Malaysia, grew up in Brunei, spent my teens in rural Australia but I’ve been travelling in and out since I was 18- back and forth through Asia, US etc. I went to private school so american English is what we usually speak. But my Aussie accent comes out bits and bobs :) Our dogs are Mexican street rescues! They have 13 breeds in them- they’re like me! Bit of everything but friendly as they come :) - Esther

Hi guys, man…the task of dumping is a necessary evil but $10 to dump seems expensive to me. maybe it’s the going rate in certain parts of the country. Gloves are always good…I don’t really know how people can do that task without gloves. Your dinner looks fabulous. I love rice dishes. I’m not familiar with your power ser up nor am I trying to come across as an electricity expert but maybe you should have 2 deep volt house batteries in addition to the solar? Maybe that might be able to improve your power needs? Just a thought. Safe travels!

Yeah dumping is always on the back of your mind on the road. Most of the time we can find a free dump but in more touristy areas, they got you cornered and can charge much more than $10! We have 200w solar on the roof with a 200amp lithium I iron battery, it usually lasts about a week without any charging. Our here it’s been more than two weeks without any sunshine though so we got caught out!

Pretty cool it's been a long time since I have had bulgogy and rice I served 18 months in Korea up north in Tongduchon.I was 18 years old and a culture shock to me but I had fun I hope you guys have fun and stay well.Take care.

That’s pretty cool, must have been an eye opener! We visited Korea a few years ago and fell in love with the food. Spent a week on Jeju island on an orange farm. I felt so far away from the world and at such peace.

Wow couldnt help but notice the milk prices over there in Canuck land!, here in South Australia 2 Litres of milk is about $3.50 Australian which is like $3.12 Canadian! Hopefully it was the gourmet fancy stuff. The prices here are going up like crazy though.

Yeah we are suffering the same price hikes as Australia. My family report back to be and it is very similar in both country’s. I actually spent $10 for the organic milk 😳 it was worth it though. Very tasty and I feel better after drinking it.

Yes, Esther is the star here. But I’m constantly planning too! Where to camp next that’s safe for my family - when’s the next gas stop, sani dump, auto parts store. How am I going to be build this transmission in a parking lot etc etc.
