70's Makeup Tutorial Featuring My Mom 🎀 Fierce Aging with Nikol Johnson

2 жыл бұрынShe is back, ladies, by popular demand. I brought on my mom again to join me in my Fierce Aging series! Sharing with you how my Fierce Aging Series started back in 2019.
➡️This tutorial is for any women in their 60’s, 70’s, or any other age who feel unsure of what kind of makeup to put on (or how to do so).
We’ll be doing my mom’s makeup (she’s 74) to give you some inspiration- but before we do that, she’ll talk a little bit about her experience with aging.
I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed making it for you. NEVER let this happen over 70 is an issue my Mom told you about in 2019 we correct it in this video again.
As usual, we aren’t going to pile on tons of makeup, but we will create a look that feels pretty and fresh.

I am the same year of age as your Mother but absolutely not beautiful as she is but I want to try the colors you used on your Mom. Her hair looked fantastic! Yes, I will give it a try and realize I will need to practice to get the look I just hope to get. So grateful for your tutorials and learn something new all the time. Your Mom looks great, I see no " cakeyness ." At 83, my face is very similar, no fine lines, deeper wrinkles at mouth corners. Horizontal lines on top lip.😢 Can't wear mascara, my eyes water so badly. Love the colors you used, believe they would suit my fair skin. Can I order exactly what you used? Minus the mascara, but maybe a light green eye shadow for the lower part of my top lid. I have not explored your whole line yet, but loved the tutorial. Thanks!

Sharon another thing you can try is collegen supplements I found out by accident it drastically makes a difference in your wrinkles in the tightness of your skin collagen is supposed to help with muscle pain and joint pain and so I decided to try to try it I mean the very next day I could see the difference in my skin tightness I'm almost seventy and it made such a huge difference. You have to get the college in that has type 1 2 and 3 and preferably all five they say to take six tablets I only take 4

Are you use químicos at. the face? This the reason she have a lot wrinkles . I never ....never... put q Toxivos and químicos at.the skin huuuu this big mistake and ignorance. Natural way and eat nutrition food , exercise. Sleep 7 hours and liven the present! no never makeup this dangerous

I found myself with a lump in my throat longing for my mom, she passed away 4 years ago. She was my best friend. So I lived vicariously through you as you spoke to her so sweetly. I had the same feeling, my mom is gone too. My mom never wore any makeup, except some moisturizer on her face, and some natural lipstick. Watching Nicole , I recalled how I would help my mom apply the henna, as she started going gray early in her thirties. I started using some makeup closer to 50)). I lost my mom one year ago to brutal cancer . I watched this with such love in my heart . My mommy was also my very best friend and I hers . My mom was shy like her mom.I used to do my moms hair , I’m a hairstylist and my mom would always be my beautiful model in my salon . My heart aches

But God does give you the grace to get through everything, even though there are trials, but I've LEARNED how to REACH out to others who are suffering, and I even got a job Managing a home for unwed mothers in NJ..., because of everything I WENT through in my own challenging life, and those girls benefited from my EXPERIENCES and I got them all to live totally NEW lives just through caring... bcuz I KNEW how to Care; because of WHAT I went through... I absolutely agree with Carmen, you should make more videos / tutorials with your lovely mom. There are few tutorials for women over 70, and even less that bring color to mature skin. Ladies can wear colors at any age. Your mom also shows everyone how beautiful women can look at that age. One is never too old to wear makeup! I enjoyed watching this tutorial.

‼️WOW, your mom is a knockout & looks much younger than her disclosed age - even before any makeup was applied❗️I just turned 70 & have never used much makeup except under eye concealers since the age of 15, & a little mascara when l was working. l stopped using even mascara but still use some concealer under my eyes to diminish the purple color. Since age 60, my skin became very flaky & dry, but now I have deep wrinkles & sagging to add to my list.

I agree with your beautiful Mother. Everything changes after 70. I will be 72 on May 28. Without makeup, I feel blah. No definition. As your mother noted, we seem to lose color (in our complexion) when we hit 70. The look you gave your exquisite mother gives her definition without appearing overly made up and contrived. I, too, am naturally fair and have been reticent about applying too much color, not being into the clown look! I will make a concerted effort to gently add more color, especially to my cheek area. Thinning eyelashes that refuse to curl is an on-gong challenge. I lightly dust my eyelashes with translucent power to add fullness to my lashes. Yes or No, Nikol? Thinning, over-plucked eyebrows from days gone by is also an ongoing challenge. Cannot thank your mother and you enough for the exciting Fierce Aging series. There are scores of Baby Boomer women like myself who are interested in this type of tutorial as we “do not go gently into that good night” … Many, many thanks, Nikol and Beautiful Mother. ❤️

Rhubarb 68, May I suggest that you try an eyelash primer? I’ve seen other makeup KZfaqrs use them successfully. I’ve seen the L’Oreal lash primer recommended. Good luck!

Im 67, feel like a blank, taupe sheet. One thing ive noticed is that when i go for long periods without making up my face, ANY makeup looks ridiculous and clowny. So i remind myself that im not used to seeing color, and press on. PS - Your mom has great blink supression.

Oh my -- your mother is gorgeous! I am 69, fair, and continually working to find my "holy grail" with my makeup since my skin continually is changing. My hair is ultra-fine, now that I have gone 100% gray-white. I loved it when I had either bleach highlights or dark low lights since they gave my hair a body boost. Since I've gone naturally gray/white I fight to get body and 'Umph" into my hair. It is kind of deflating after years of being in control of its lasting styling. As well, my eyebrows are systematically disappearing and turning white, while the other parts of my face are growing hair like I have never seen before! Oh my gosh...!! Lord help me! 😂

Your mom is such a beautiful, classy woman! I enjoyed this tutorial so much! I'm sitting in a hospital holding my husband's hand as he gets chemo. Been a challenging time for us, but this video reminded me that we MUST also care for ourselves. I'm sick of wearing sweats, having my hair in a ponytail amd wearing no makeup. Just started watching your videos. I'm blown away with this video of your Mom! It was obvious she was very pleased with her makeup. A truly beautiful woman. I will reach 74 in November and feel exactly the way she does about the changing in your 70's. Thanks for this specific video!

I’m 47 . Young still . But I’m peri menopausal and my skin has changed so much. I totally understand when your mum said her face looked beige! I feel like all my features are muted some how . I have been mostly concentrating on skin care as I’m not good with make up at all. I really enjoyed watching you make your beautiful mum glow! I need to start playing with make up again .

I’m the same age as you and am happily surprised to find someone else who doesn’t have a natural ability for makeup. I thought I was the only one! I also concentrate on moisture. Not quite perimenopausal yet, but my skin gets very dry due to an underactive thyroid. It’s wonderful watching these mature women having their makeup done, I’m addicted to these videos!

Nik, my mother refused me ever taking a photo of her...seeing you touch your mom's face like that really touches a tender part of my heart. It's something I never got to do after age 5 or so...this is so nice to see. Thank you mom, won't you please? You have no idea how much of an impact this has on so many levels. Your Mom did it for all of us. My husband died last year, I recently had eye surgery and I needed something. Now that I can see to apply some color to brighten what I see in my mirror I want to learn how to add some color but tasteful for my age. I am enjoying your videos.

We had to wear Covid masks to an event and it was sunny but windy. I had big sunglasses, a mask and my hair sticking out like a monster. My grandkids knew they were meeting me, so big kids knew who I was. I was taking pictures of the babies and my phone camera switched around and I scared myself.

Just tried the eye trick and I look so much better. Also used a brighter lipstick and that made a difference as well. I used the Laura Mercier BB cream and it gave me a glow. Thank you so much More tutorials please. Nobody else cares about the mature woman!

I LOVE what you did for your mom! I am 67 and unfortunately my eyelids have fallen and I have stopped wearing eye makeup as I just haven’t been able to find a way to make it look good. I wish I could afford to come sit down and let you show me how to do my makeup. I lost my eyebrows when I had a car accident in 1975 and my forehead had an abrasion that took almost all the hair off of them. I had them tattooed many years ago and now the color has faded and turned more reddish. I have waist length hair but short on top so I can get the lift and hight I need so my hair doesn’t look flat. I used to be a very beautiful woman in my younger years but transitioning into my 60s has not been easy. I watch your videos and try to learn from them. Sometimes it just seems what I do and what you do are worlds apart. I am a Custom Decorator and feel how I look is so important especially when I am asking my clients to trust me with putting their rooms together. Yet I can’t seem to put myself together 😅😢 My husband goes to the VA in WP so maybe one day I can alway hope to stop in and watch what you do.
