The solder will distribute the heat along the fret wire well. Alternatively you can use a iron or if you have the possibilities like Ted Woodford kzfaq.info/get/bejne/naqhm5iIrdjNY6M.html at 9:16 (I can highly recommend his channel) but I can imagine that the guys in Ukraine are at the moment somewhat restricted in their possibilities

Yes this Guitar is built for Gut Strings (nowadays Nylon) & it came strung w/ Nylon Strings already, success. D'addario makes Ball End Nylon Strings (like what I saw in this video) which make restringing a Snap. There are those Thomastik Classic S Rope Core Classical Guitar Strings (KR116) which are Flatwound to save the frets from scratches

I'm not a luthier, I reactivate guitars as best I can. On yours, I would have paid more attention to those tuner machines. If they're too loose, I just replace them with new ones of high quality. On a guitar the age of your Hofner, those tuners rarely got any lubrication or cleaning. If I am restoring, I like the metal parts to be free of rust and tarnishing, not ignoring the neck, frets, bridge, etc.
@mr.k1t
@mr.k1t 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Surprisingly to me, these are one of the most comfortable and workable tuners. They have very smooth lift and nice gear ratio. And I don't want to get rid of them.
@lorenzoparedes2306
@lorenzoparedes2306 2 жыл бұрын
@@mr.k1t Cultural industrial bias causes me to think the tuners are of German manufacture, which is probably the reason they are as you describe. I have three Spanish made classical guitars, and their tuners work exceptionally well, though they're probably no older than 20-25 years. I have found through experience that buying tuners on the web can be a crap shoot. Price is not a guarantor of quality. I was able to find a new set for about $18, plus shipping, that are of reasonable quality. Conversely, I bought a set for about $36 that were actually worse than the ones I was trying to replace. The seller was puzzled about my returning them for a refund

Your scale length starts at your FIRST metallic (zero) fret. I see that your strings do not touch this fret, that is they touch the nut. You will soon find that this guitar cannot be tuned. Open strings have the nut for zero fret, fretted ones have the first fret for zero. Detach the nut and file down the grooves to make the strings rest on the first fret. If I see the things wrong I apologize. I like your work.
@mr.k1t

Thank you! You're right, I agree with you on that. It might have seemed to you because of the camera angle. In real life strings on this guitar start from zero fret.

@@mr.k1t I’m glad you announced action at the 12th fret. 2.5mm is very nice height for a Nylon string guitar, you need at least this height on a nylon strung guitar. Many new ones that I have examined are at least 3mm at 12th fret for low ‘E’. I purchased a Yamaha nylon silent guitar recently and the high ‘e’ was 2.5mm and the low ‘E’ was ‘3.75mm at 12th fret. Good work and thank you for sharing. Very high standard of work. I cannot understand why some people have to criticise a posting when not fully understanding the difference between a steel string action and a nylon string action. I have set up many guitars and your choice of action at the 12th fret for this nylon strung guitar is just about perfect for most players.

Два вопроса: почему нельзя нагревать лады просто за счет электричества или индукционным методом столько припоя в мусорку же? И почему на классической гитаре радиусный гриф? всегда ведь плоский был.
@mr.k1t
@mr.k1t 2 жыл бұрын

@@mr.k1t Hello, I didn't just type this comment because soldering with tin-lead solder 61 is not good for health. Firstly, its vapors that spread around, secondly, the remnants of them that condense on the lining, and this in this case cannot be avoided, thirdly, the use of this solder complicates the technological process. There is an alternative to using solder . What is this? ... That's right, water. Well, the use of ordinary water in this case is not worse, as for extracting frets from the fretboard , of course, if it is done correctly Can 't you think of a simpler one ? See how a professional luthier does it , I 'll leave the link below . How he realize it simplistically (if you show everything completely, the whole video will take not 2 but a 20 minutes ) is shown from 1:36 to 2:36 second , I beg you pardon for my english :kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mbKln62AsK_Tn3k.html&ab_channel=MuzClass

Looks like the top is a laminated pinewood.....worth saving the guitar????. On the other hand refretting technique is fine. I assume the bridge bone was also renewed... and thats a good point to set string height..... Aesthetic result is obviously ok, but is the guitar intonated and free from noises?. I know I am biased... but that piece of furniture is unlikely to be called a guitar in Spain.

На сколько низко максимально можно опустить струны у классической гитары?
@mr.k1t
@mr.k1t Жыл бұрын
