My car did that after my first oil change it started doing it. I changed to some thicker oil (especially in the winter time you need thicker oil) and the tick went away.

These coyotes love to tick, theyve been known for it 11-20. Typically the first gen (and maybe the second gen) get the typewritter tick at idle soon after oil changes, at first ford was replacing entire longblocks to fix it. Gen three has a similar tick but they are unrelated from what I've read, something to do with the gen three block removing the steel sleeves from the cylinders and a tolderance issue becoming the culprit of the tick. Interestingly, my 2014 track pack gt developed the typewritter tick and it was a spot on match to what ford was diagnosing. This happened right after I did an oil change with 5w-50 redline oil so it was gut wrenching to hear it. I fixed it with a 10 ounce bottle of ceratec additive and the tick went away entirely. The sound coming from blucifer nearly sounds the same. The typewitter tick is associated with idling and going between ~750-2000 rpm (from what i read) and seems to be related to the track package cars that take 5w50 from the factory. I'm not sure if blucifer is a track pack or not but Derek I think you should start with switching to motorcraft 5w50 and possibly the ceratec additive. The typewritter tick is loud, you cant miss it and its poossible that thats whats happened to blucifer. Im not sure if you already began a diagnosing process but like I said (before you give up hope) is try different oils. If you do, save some of the oil thats in the car now and send it off for analysis so if something has failed in the bottom end you can pinpoint what it is without so much guessing. This is, if its an engine noise and not a transmission or clutch noise, at that point i have no idea ive never had to deal with a mt82 issue yet. Best of luck Derek!

it doesn’t sound like motor id check throw out bearing and clutch it’s doesn’t sound like rod knock or the coyote tick but please get a clutch in there soon ive been watching since blue2v and ive actually gotten one myself but red. i know the feeling you have/had but i really don’t think it’s the motor

Hey it was the same sound I had in my 2000 gt called sliverbullet after I raced a fbo stang. And it was rod knock.

Possible input shaft. Mt82 probs maybe. Not sure just by video but pretty sure it’s the trans/clutch and not the engine. While parked in neutral in your garage do some small revs while listening close to the shifter(listening for the noise and rumbling below the shifter).

That noise sounded like a belt pulley... not an engine component.
