Hey. I couldn't tell by the video, but do u have 3 of any of the colors of the wires? I have 3 grays and 3 whites

@@liltuke101 Hey Sydney I was just reading your message here about the colours and having 3 greys and 3 whites sounds like everything's configured up one side meaning like all right rear or all left rear something of the sort I would identify with your oems wirings schematic 's to identify those wires

@@MrMazzhitz02 and have the player hooked up and when I turn the truck on the screen stays blue. If I unplug the to radio connector, the radio powers on but no sound. And if I plug it back in it says "reversing" at the top of the screen and nothing works. Any ideas? I have over looked my connections many times and everything is hooked up right. The only thing I didn't install is the back up cam

@@liltuke101 Really sounds like it's possible to have wires crossed. Yellow is power, black is ground, red for display, orange isn't necessary, then all the colored wires solid and stripped are audio per position in the car, then video is pink and I believe a red and black. Then a video wire, the pink is the park sensor. If you break it down we could get this resolved. Even if you have to message per wire, let me know. Start with the basics. The (SWC) steering wheel controls harness is for factory Amp power, without it you will have no sound unless you bypass (not recommended).

@@MrMazzhitz02 a little black box came with the harness, which I think is the Amp box. There r 3 wires not in use. Purple with white stripe says reverse gear Pink says speed signal And orange says illumination. I have hooked up many stereos over the yrs and I have never had such a problem, granted they weren't cheap ones either. What I can say is that the factory has a dbl harness, which the smaller of the two is not in use, as the harness didn't come with a connection for it. Not sure if that could be part of the problem. I paid $115 at Crutchfield, so I'm hoping they gave me the right thing.

Great video mate, mine had sound for about 3 months after I installed. It would randomly not have any sound but that restarting always came back. Just this week it's completely stopped making any sound. Will check the SWC and amp wires again after watching this

In my case and most I've dealt with the orange is illumination, red is power on with ignition, yellow is constant power, ofcourse black is ground. And my pac steering wheel control did have to be hooked up cause it was inline with wiring. But that's with my radios.

I just wanted to say real quick I just watched a video right before yours with the same problem all that guy did was bind together the red and blue then connect it to the radios red so you know connector red to the red I guess but bind it with the blue one he did it and all the other things you had to do prior like connecting the red to the yellow and all that other stuff he had to do it too but was no longer necessary I don't know that you have tried that maybe or if it's not working for you or what but I just want to let you know that maybe it would make your life easier thanks for the do it yourself videos they helped me a great deal in my everyday life keep up the good work.

I did this and it didn't work I connected the blue wire to the red wire. But there's also a blue wire coming out of there left side of the car itself. And it did long black and red wire coming out of the right side of the car maybe from the battery, but it says Audiopipe on it? Tried everything. No sound

The Blue wire from the car should reference the power Amp and another for antenna, the black is usually a Ground wire - and the Red is illumination and or dimming, but if you tie Red with Yellow you will have constant 12V so manually turning it on/off even while the car is off would be an option. Anything with Audiopipe writing would be aftermarket, I would start with the OEM wiring first and trace the aftermarket wires to identify the function of them. Please let me know if you may have anything further

Oh my god I've been going crazy trying to find a video to help me with the wiring cuz I've got an amp and I just happened to go through this video and I seen that you've got the same car as I do it's a Chrysler 300 right and you've got the same stereo as I do and I have no sound coming out of my stereo I've wired the thing right I think I've got a wire harness and an antenna adapter and I still don't have any sound but I hooked up all the wires to each other I don't know I'm going to try like you did and double them up but I've got the amp in the back too I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not

I have a 2008 charger. The solution is to buy the adapter I show in the video. The wiring for the speakers was only needed because I didn't have any other wires coming to the harness end. The only way to avoid the adapter is to power the Amp. The aftermarket Amp for a system would be irrelevant.

my jeep has the factory amp and speakers on the dash front doors and rear doors. that was where i had my problem. i went and got the harness that lets you keep using the factory amp.

Hey buddy are you still running this channel? Have a question for you, 2009 dodge charger. Someone snatched out the original one that came with the car, they put in a single din an cut an spliced a bunch of wiring. Now I am trying to put in a double Din stereo and reattach everything and everything works except for the sound..... How do I go about locating the amp wire.?

The Amp Wire may be "Blue" or Blue with White stripe. Locate your Amp and identify the color, then find it behind the cd player... that will be the wire needing to be powered for sound.

thanks for the video. i got a jeep with the factory navigation and it's starting to act up. i contacted the dealer and he told me over $1100 for the replacement and labor, screw that. i got this little radio for less than $60 buy no one is willing to throw it in for less than $400 because of the labor and harness and steering wheel controls.

hi again you made a good point about trying to put in the radio which by chance is the very same one you have. my question is did you get this wire harness (pac c2r-chy4) to use with the radio. i was told i needed it because of the factory amp in my jeep. i also noticed something that looks like a 3.5mm headphone jack on the back of the radio but the instruction don't mention it.

al dee For our application with having an amp you must use the harness with the part number referenced. It supports the amp and the speakers will have bass. You are able to bypass the need for the harness but For What?!

so the part that you show in the video(rp4-ch11) is the only harness you used not the one that i sent you the partl number of(c2r-chy4)? the reason i ask is the tech at crutchfield said i would need harness inorder to use my amp with the radio.

al dee My apologies, I do not have the information with me now. But the harness is included with the RP4-CH11 as a package deal at Best Buy for $150. I bought it since I was eager to get the radio installed. Ebay has them cheaper if you can wait. I will try to remember and respond with the complete harness number that includes the RP4-CH11.

I don't believe you have to buy that, something is wrong. 1st time I connected it had sound and then I disconnected it to reconnect it with better tape and I lost the sound. Lol But I heard something about connecting the red to the blue or the yellow to the blue wire? Is that correct?

That would be to eliminate the powered amplifier or bypass having to buy the harness I bought. Blue wire with the Yell would supply constant 12v, may run your battery down. Beware!

@@MrMazzhitz02 you right. a strange Long blue wire that comes from the left side of the car, what every itis, whatever I connect it to, it shows the battery on my dash, like its draining. The long black and red wire that comes out of the right side of the car says audio on it,, i thought its a 12v wire. I wonder what these 2 wires go to? Or do they go to nothing on the Aftermarket radio?

@@MattRocksGames The blue on the left would be to the powered amp. The long red and black must have been from an aftermarket system hooked up with subs??? Did you buy the car used? I would isolate them and only use the factory wires and eliminate any of the guess work. If you dont have any subs installed then keep away from any wires outside of the factory harness. Please update me when you have done this.

if anyone buys a Interface module with harness to connect to factory in order for the aftermarket headunit to fully work , it will also need a patch lead to function amp & steering , without the patch lead you will only have Power On , No Sound

@@truthsearching78 The patch Lead is a small harness to connect to the interface could come in different colors with multiple wires for the aftermarket headunit 'is to Retain Steering Wheel & blue/white wire is Amp Trigger...

@@skyfire5091 I figured it out I had to connect my factory bose amp power wire with the acc power wire as the aftermarket harness didnt have a pin in it to power it through the harness. Thanks

Because they are wired through the Amp. No speaker wires for them in that wire harness. I ended up bridging them as seen in the video. The thing I noticed was the door speakers 🔊were the bass speakers while the rear had bass and treble.

@@MrMazzhitz02 I did that with mine but I got a STINGER SELECT SSCH11 AND EVWRTHING WORKS STILL NO SOUND NOW IT HAS 2 PORTS FOR MODUAL BUT ONE IS LABLED FOR IT NOW ON THE OPASIT SIDE OF THE OTHERRONE I MORE WIRES SAME COLOR BUT WI WHITE STRIP ON IT Instructions Doesn't say anything about them being wired in the instructions but I'm still not getting sound

The Kit I had purchased is for Chrysler vehicles. My installation was on a 2008 Dodge Charger. Check with your local Audio Supplier, Meijer, Walmart or Best Buy for the mount kit needed on a Ford.

Would this radio be good to use for 2”12 subwoofers with a 600watt or 1300watt amp?

That would be irrelevant. The output of the radio has no relation to your subwoofers. With hat being said, make the Earth Quake! As far as an amp or subs. The radio output is just for the interior speakers.

Hi. I have this in my car and the screen turned grey with a plus sign in the upper left corner. No sound and if a press something then nothing happens. Do you know what it is?

It sounds like the touch calibration screen. Are the buttons jammed? Can you disconnect the power source? Via the radio fuse or the back of the radio. If not, try touching the + repeatedly until the screen clears.

al dee My Steering wheel does not have controls. But the RP4-CH11 is needed for the steering wheel controls as well.

my jeep has the controls on the steering wheel but i called bestbuy and was told that this harness (rp4-ch11) should handle both the amp issue as well as the control issue if the radio has that option.

al dee That is correct. If you notice the RP4-CH11 has SW on it. (Steering wheel). Once hooked up completely it will enable the steering wheel controls.

Orange wire installed??? Also check your connections to your backup cam, pink to your red Camera wire not the radio red.

What is the pink wire for? Where does it go? Power or ground?

The Pink wire is the Park Sensor. This wire is installed to a Ground to bypass a safety feature and allow video to be displayed at all times vs. Only Park.

I believe your asking about the Red Wire. This must be installed, to B+ to have radio power with the ignition off... but you must manually power off the radio after exiting the vehicle otherwise you'll kill the battery.

I had a same bought chines s $$$t in my 300c i have throwed into cuboard 2 years ago prb was not all speakers didnt work as use to work because under steering wheel is a small amplifier then i left it my old one

Jaro Makula I hear ya bro. I think its more on Chrysler's side of things than the radio. Look at the harness on the car and then the radio.... The car only supplied one side but the radio supports both. I am planning on taking a closer look into why or how to fix this so we get sound on both sides.

Yes. Blue (solid) is for the antenna/amp.

@@omeryehuda104 i had pulled the dash apart under the steering wheel to identify my factory amp. But Google your vehicle and see if a factory amp was an option and the location of the amp if so. Most common places are: dash, under the driver or passenger seat or the trunk. Let me know what you find.

Keep alive memory. Check your radios fuse.

@@MrMazzhitz02 Both fuses are working. I don't know what could be the problem. My car is old and someone has already repaired the wires and jacks of the radio. I noticed that the two blue and white wires were insulated separately from each other. I looked on the internet and mostly in all cars those two wires are connected.

Im currently using this unit and I do get the same problem but my issue is that it only loses sound after I kill the engine. All I had to do to get back the sound was to unplug the top and plug it back in but would really like to know if anyone has a fix, advice or tip regarding this matter. TIA!

@@jastan94 looks like if it has one it might be located under the driver seat. From what I just read. It covered up to a 2011. Otherwise you would not have a factory amp installed.

ok, so i started the install on that 7012B head unit tonight in my 04 lincoln navigator. we got the wires connected, all but 2. which we cane to conclusion they were not needed. turned on the key, power! but no sound. even connected my phone via Bluetooth. nothing. no sound. in lost. any tips or advice?

@@dougmaynard4811 Did you buy the Harness or bypass? Also make sure the antenna is connected. The no sound may mean that you have a factory amp installed in the vehicle. The blue AMP wire in the harness must be used. What are the two wires that you are not using?

@@MrMazzhitz02 yes, i bought a harness. there is a factory amp there behind the dash. n i believe the 2 wires are pink n orange

Joe Pendarvis i have the same issue currently. It happens only in Stereo and switch to Mono the sound comes in clearer but still not perfect. I have yet to investigate the root cause but when I do I will respond and post a video.

Joe Pendarvis I will also post a video on the installation of the back up camera. I have yet to install mine. Awaiting Spring! We still have snow in the forecast... As far as mirror link, if your radio shows the same menu options as mine, it is not equipped to do so without an extra component. Look it up on yt.

If I understand you correctly, the video output will be enabled if you use a usb/memory card. When the file is selected you can play a video at anytime regardless of a signal. If you are inquiring about reverse camera video then with the proper connection you will only have a video signal while in reverse regardlessof an antenna signal. Antenna is only for AM and FM radio functions. I hope this helps.

@@MrMazzhitz02 yes but i have 3 wires i dont know if i need conect o just tape it . Is a pink.-brown -green -blue with white stripe. And 2 blacks.i think of blacks is they ground.

@@bigboycervantes5240 Tony, the Pink is optional install for the Backup camera. Brown is the FM wire. Blue with the white stripe is for the amplifier turn on. Black is ground.

Ok so pink is for camera. Good for mi brown maybe cap. And blue cap too .and of black i need ground to metal chassis .?
