For geeks: Sony Starvis 2 sensor is the best dashcam sensor till date. It is specially designed for Number plate detection and low light (night vision) visibility. The most advanced sensor in Starvis 2 series is IMX678 sensor. 70 Mai A810 and A510, like most others in the market, are Battery powered dashcam. Battery powered dashcams are prone to explosion causing shattering of the windscreen when kept under sun in high temperatures. Therefore, avoid battery powered dashcam if the car has high direct-sun exposure and/or living in extreme summer zones of the country. The alternative is Capacitor based dashcams which are slightly costlier but a safer option. Capacitor based dashcams are Viofo and Nexdigitron out of which Viofo is a premium brand but offers Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor. NexDigitron ie yet to launch the Starvis 2 series.

We have recently installed our first 70mai A510 dahs cam in MG ZS EV and here's our update on this - 1. 70mai A510 comes with Sony Starvis 2 camera lens - Sony IMX675 vs Sony IMX335 in 70mai A500S. Very good clarity and clean recordings. Even in dark roads, this dash cam should be enough to capture the details. Need even better, you can check 70mai A810 4K with Sony Starvis 2. 2. Comes woth upto 256GB Support which is a good upgrade from the regular 128GB options in 70mai lineup. 3. Cosmetic changes like live rear view in app and picture in picture mode have made the user interface really friendly. 70mai A510 is now readily available in Bangalore - at Konark Car Accessories (HSR Layout) and KONARK'S (Jayanagar). You may use it. But there is a slight delay in video playback. So it won't give real-time info while reversing. If you still wish, then consider buying mirror dashcam since it gives better, wider display.

You can add in Rear view camera with separate 3.5 invb display where camera connection would be connected to reverse light . Will cost in Rs 3000 to 3500 n will serve purpose better

Maine bhi liya hai dash cam 70mai, but main concern is yeh Chinese company hai and in ke apne alag app par hi login bnana parta hai access ke liye jo ki inke chaina based server se connected hai, unnecessary permissions bhi deni prti hai mobile me. Kal ko tiktock n camscan app ki tareh is ka app bhi block huva india me to yeh dash cam bekar ho jaye ga. India ki kafi company chaina se product import krti hai but veh company india gov ke under hai, un ka server chaina me nahi hai, veh ban nahi hongi. Indian company ka hi dash cam lena chahiye

The dashcam though it says both front and rear, you can record only either front view or rear view at a time, and not both. So it defeats the purpose.
