WOW ...... I mean ...... WOW! That was amazing, I honestly thought that at 70mph the video would be unwatchable but it was fine in the event. Imagine having one of these as a chase boat to a larger yacht there would be no place you couldn't go and go there fast. It is great to see you both working together, I personally think having Marriane onboard (your channel) only makes a great community better.

Company I work had sea trial last week with their own 12m open alu/rubber rib with two Mercury Verado V12 600's. They got 55 nots before they run out propellers. Imagine that speed when water is bit over zero and air is something like +6-10 celsius. And best is, it got in 10secs to max speed from standstill.

Now that is some speed! Reminds me of my buddy’s boat we used to hoon around on the Chesapeake bay. Speed over everything.

Ha! Miami is becoming the spiritual home of Aquaholic...or maybe it always was? Florida is a place I'd love to visit....Key West especially. The sea to the West of the Keys is only 2 metres deep for miles and miles and miles....this is an amazing place. It doesn't take a genius to see that Southern Florida which is essentially built on sandbars will be inundated by rising seas within one generation...so enjoy that place whilst you can! I am very envious Nick...I wish I was there. Great to see you both having such fun.

These things are like the pickup trucks of the seas. They seem to be most popular in the US and when fully equipped they're only affordable by the rich people that will rarely ever use them as the fishing boats they started out as. Hence why they're adding cabins and more creature comfort to these things.

Oh my days I think I'm in love. That's a world away from the boats we used to go fishing on from Plymouth and Brixham back in the day,something like a 3-4 hour run back then to get 40 odd miles out some days.

Whoop whoop 🥳 Seemed to track beautifully……… relatively narrow for a CAT, without the patter and jiggle you see with speed usually………. good and practical, perhaps on tow behind the mother ship……. If only 🙂 With what looked to be a fairly shallow draught and a narrow CAT hull……… I wonder if it retains a lot of grip in a fast turn over a bit of chop ? Although, you probably wouldn’t be doing super quick turns with a load of fishermen on board 🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🙂

The giant cross channel hovercraft would do that speed. I was on it once when it took just 29 minutes from lifting in calais to opening the ramp in Dover. Very impressive.

I think the most scared I’ve ever been in my life was several years ago, when a friend took me for a ride around the lake on his new Bullet bass boat that was propelled by a giant Merc 300 engine. The sensation of going almost 90mph while sitting only a foot above the water was one of the most exhilarating feelings I’ve ever experienced but, I was also absolutely petrified beyond measure!! 😬 Love your channel Nick!! 👍👍

Going fast is a Blast!

Nick, looks like you and Marianne had a blast on that. The thing is now in the US not only are we bringing back muscle cars but we have muscle boats that will get you there real fast. Some of the other channels that I watch based out of the Miami area have 45 to 55 ft boats that will do 70 mph to 90 mph. Most of those boats usually have 4 or 5 600 horsepower Mercury Verado engines on them. Fishing is huge on the west coast and East Coast of Florida. Also Bahama runs out to the Florida Gulf stream. I've watched reviews on some of those boats and they could go anywhere from 1.5 million to 3 million dollars to start.

You would have the freshest possible catch after a fishing trip in this beast. #toofresh :D

This boat looks like an upgrade to the Haulover fishing fleet Nick ! Right by Haulover inlet I use to charter boats to go out group fishing for about 20 $ per person way back in the 80s they used old weather beaten 45 to 50 ft trawlers to take 12 to 15 people at a time for 4 hours .This fishing boat reminds me of the set up they had except it was an 80 yr old wooden trawler with a 6 knot old diesel engine . I am so jealous of you right now !! lol ! Very sexy boat !!

It was wild, so calm with that speed. Is there room for a 5th engine. there are pictures and videos of some boats with 5 engines. Not because it lacks speed, but there is talk of the boats that can reach 100 mph. Mega cool video Nick & Marianne.

Really good to see they make a pilot house...recently been researching Invincible boats, and particularly the catamaran. So many center consoles, but this is really great....not sure if my budget goes to 1800 hp or 49' 🤣🤣. It would be interesting to know if they made a 33' in the pilot house configuration?

I’m a great lover of the American sports fisher, but they never seem to find their way over here. Prefect day until you hit chop then it's a lymphatic massage- 4 trips on an invincible to Cay Sal, I was well drained, loved the fishing and docking. I can't help to think that one day using that much fuel isn't going to be blow back on the marine pleasure industry. As a boat owner twin cummins 490 jet drives, I try to keep the burn down to 24 gallons total per hr. Compared to (4) 450hp racing merc's who wants the do good world coming after you.
