Less than 5K for a car…. Wow

IF you just buy the basic car without ANY options. Meaning no A/C, no radio, no rear defogger, manual driver's side mirror, hot vinyl seats, and other cheap features.

That's before they add all the bells and whistles.

@@ericnelson9100 Then it'd be worth around $11,000. Base price for a Lincoln Mark IV or V.

How can you not love this beautiful woman? I recall the Era of Farrah ... She was everything - gorgeous hair, great smile, stunning looks - the epitome of femininity. Men lusted and loved her with good reasons. But she was unthreatening to women, she was our role model. And, Farrah was nice...Yes, nice. She truly was an angel!

She was a really good soul who enjoyed homey things like cooking, baking, decorating, gardening. And a she was a talented sculptress too. A couple of her interviews with Barbara Walters on here on YT where she admitted her exceptional looks were sometimes a sort of curse.

@msr1116 Farrah was a unique, wonderful woman, a kind-hearted soul, her influence on the many lives she touched by her smile, beauty, gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Like Olivia Newton-John, these lovely beings were a gift to us all. I am so glad I lived during the era of these great ladies!

The Cougar's Wagon's replacement did not come until two years later, when the 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park, which utilized the Panther platform, was introduced.

@@msr1116 A friend had the XR7 and my aunt had a LTD II that were pretty much the same car. Both ran for nearly 20 years and 150K miles trouble free. Quite an accomplishment for a 70's Ford.

@@billj8527 .... My second cousins' grandparents bought them a 1974 LTD and that car was one third engine. Huge vehicle but a nice smooth ride and much more comfy than the cramped, fuel efficient compacts of recent decades.

I know I'm in the extreme minority here, but I never thought she was that beautiful. She came off as too perfect, like a doll or something, and I'm more a fan of voluptuous, full lips, and hers were thin and unappealing to me. Again, I did say I was in the minority. My brother had her very famous poster and it did nothing special for me. I preferred Jaclyn Smith to be honest. We all have our own tastes I guess.

What makes you say she was dumb? Went on to appear in movies and was a very talented actress ( The Burning Bed, The Apostle). Also was drop dead gorgeous.
