My first ever screenlink. Hope you enjoy.
I made over 100 tricks, but not all of them made the cut. This video took about 180h of work: 25% experimentation, 50% building/shooting, 25% editing. In the future, I'll do a full edit with all the tricks, and also a video with the fails.

Maybe it’s a long house, but maybe not, see he could’ve just record a “trick” then he would cut the video, than rebuild the “Kapla” and retake the video or some sort.

I was absolutely blown away by the trick at 1:18!! So cool that you can make the spiral staircase itself out of kapla, then topple a line up AND down and then knock down the entire thing! Brilliant. The turtle field at 2:10 also looked much nicer than with dominoes - the long planks make a great exaggerated effect. It’s awesome to see how many domino tricks also work with these. I have a feeling that this video is going to become iconic and something that people come back to a lot (I know I definitely will!) Makes me want to experiment more and try these tricks. Overall, EXCELLENT video! so much hard work went into this! p.s. for the walls at 3:57 I noticed that you’ve put 2 flat layers of kapla instead of 1 - is there a reason for this? does this help with stability?

Thanks. The planks on top of the wall at 3:57 help it collapse. Walls collapse better when they have weights on top/inside them, and they are stronger when they curve. I'm not sure they are necessary, this is just in case. I have left out about 30 tricks (some quite cool like a builders challenge, it was really hard to cut them out). I'll show them in a future video. I'll also do a video with the fails, some are quite hilarious. I also haven't done all tricks on my trick list, because that's too much for a single video. I'll do those tricks in the future and release them in an "advanced tricks" video. My next project will be a kapla-domino-music-sync project. Syncing kapla with music is a bit easier than I thought, and I want to explore this more, I think it can be super-satisfying (if planned right). The idea came about after exchanging ideas with doodleChaos

its so fun! i remember watching this when it came out in start 2020 and i was 9 yrs old back then and this video is what really got me into domino and kapla, and looking back on this video just reminds me of so many memories!!!😀

This was awesome! I like 1:18 but it's hard to pick a favorite when there is so many great tricks. ☺️ Even though I seen some of these tricks in dominoes they feel new, because it's another effect to see them in kapla. In many cases it looks better. ☺️ 👍 Well done 👏 👏 👏

The one at 3:04 was super tricky: Moving over the same bit of real estate three times. I also liked the multidirectional acton at 3:33. Great work.

Whoa, I think you just shot domino tricks out of the water! So many awesome tricks to mention here. It's cool how variations of the same trick can look very different and I love how much more easily tipping towers destroy other structures. With dominoes, the towers fall apart before delivering enough "push". Planks look like they have so much more flexibility and potential! Only problem is I don't have much to work with ☹️. Can't wait to have a job again! 😜

I SUGGEST A NEW IDEA: every domino's video, will note the speed of the chain reaction (SCR, new term I just innveted) of this video. Means, the speed that the falling stones goes forward. For example: 20 centimetres per sec. 12 cm/second And so. Now, Crousier Benjamin, your chanell is announcing a competition: who will be the fastet!

I liked the dragon/snake, but 2:00 I had to go back and rewatch what was happening so maybe that one. Simple crossing thing at 2:54 and :54 I found interesting. Also liked that there were a few coloured ones to add just a little colour/highlights to some.

No, many planks fall in sync of the beat by chance ! (also retime controls in DaVinci Resolve is pretty useful but don't tell anybody)
