Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted ;)
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are in our 9TH YEAR of finding the best adventures the world has to offer :)

From someone who remembers those early days, I couldn't be happier for you guys and absolutely love that you took your staff with you for this one. I love all your video's but I have a soft spot for the luxury ones, just to see that level of attention to detail is wonderful. This was an epic one, and, I doubt one you'll forget.

I have been watching you since year 2 of travel. I re-watched all of them during Covid lockdowns. You introducing your team made me cry because I remember when it was the 2 of you doing everything - shooting, editing, posting, planning, booking... Your channel has changed but I think it was for the better. You two seem incredibly genuine, and the appreciation you have for your team shined through in your intros. I know you never imagined your tiny family update channel would turn into this, but that is a testament to the community you've built through KZfaq. One of these days I will be able to make it to some of these places you go. But until then, I will live vicariously through you.

I have to say that I have been watching yall for YEARSSS! Although I love that you had your team join yall on this adventure there is one thing I have noticed that yall have been leaning more on the luxury side of travel versus the normal day to day and affordable travel places that most viewers can access or do. Although I value this as a really incredible experience, I don’t really think any of us would ever get to enjoy this and our lifetime. Just isn’t as relatable as some of past videos used to be!

This video was so fun beginning to end! I got sad when I saw there was only 5 minutes left I didn’t want it to end! I loved the editing and camera work on this one so much too! This may very well be the peak K&N video of all time!

By far your best “luxury” resort video to date! Absolutely beautiful place, and the tours and the things to do are always fun to see but the fact that you gave back to your employees across all platforms and shared the experience with us made it even better and that much more special! From where you all started, that first year of travel and those cringe worthy videos 😅 to where you guys are now is mind blowing and shows that hard work and dedication does pay off, the kindness, love and huge hearts you have for not only travel but your friends family and employees is truly something special! On a lot of the recent videos I agree with that sentiment, I give them a pass on this one due to the uniqueness of the destination and the fact they brought their whole team there... I think its pretty cool.

I'm so happy that you guys brought your staff along for this experience. I was a pro member to Faredrop since before it was called that, but unfortunately rent has gone up again, I have to be in person 5-days a week for my job in Boston, and have about $80 left after rent is paid (I have 3 roommates, and it's $1650/per person), so I couldn't renew my pro subscription, and travel using miles or points from work travel that fortunately continues to go on, but I definitely want to when I can again, especially after seeing the team that runs your businesses.

Crazy, I've just been looking at the opportunity to visit St. Croix (next door island to Moskito Island). My grandpa talked about these islands when I was little; it has been my dream ever since. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit the islands together. As the video shows, it's definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Thanks for sharing ♥

CDs* apostrophes do not pluralise words. They indicate possession or contractions. ie, that is Jim’s towel. (Informal way of saying who owns the towel). That does not imply that more than one person named Jim owns the towel.
