The tuning potential of this engine is enormous, there are versions with this power in stock internals, obviously it is risky but it is feasible. Some builds with forged internal go well over 1000 hp on this engine, it's crazy.

It really isn't actually, the Superb MK2 had the 3.6L R36 engine. 700 hp wasn't abnormal for those engines.

Oh they've known for long but VAG won't allow that. Just as well as they didn't allow those 176kW BiTDIs you could get in Passat for Superb. I honestly think you shouldn't be forced to buy an Audi if you're fine with VW/Škoda levels of comfort and you just want a good engine.

Besides that they got so many unique builds, their car scene is so far ahead from the rest of Europe it’s crazy, coming from a guy in the rest of europe. Skoda has come a long way. I never liked skodas but these new ones are OK. This one though is more then OK. This one is candy. I mean it's so glossy it's crazy. Nice rim and caliper color. But the thing I like most is a 5cyl paired with a dsg. Wow. I love the sound of those 5cyl machines. It's unique.
