#73 Bold & Bright Acrylic Paint Pour Triptych Commission with Large Canvases -Blues, Reds, Metallics
I was so glad to get this last commission knocked out so I can get back to playing! I’ve missed just coming into the studio and letting my brain run rampant!
This is a triptych - center is 24”x48” with two side 16”x40” canvases
I would be remiss if I neglected to thank my good friend and fellow artist, Sheldon Briscoe with Shelrock Art. That man has the patience of a saint, as he’s always brainstorming with me on my crazy ideas. Colors are listed in the video and they were mixed with 1p Golden GAC-800 and between 4-5p mix, with a little water to break up the thickness.
Commissions can be stressful and I argued with myself about even filming this, but I edited it in super fast forward, so hopefully this seven minutes won’t feel like the hour and and a half that it really took me.

**I got into acrylic pouring after playing around with epoxy resin and wanting to do some art with it. After realizing the amount of time it took to prep and clean up, it wasn’t quite as appealing to me anymore. That’s when I stumbled onto some KZfaq videos about acrylic pouring and I WAS HOOKED. This was in 2020, and with COVID running rampant, it was the perfect thing to keep me occupied and staying home, safe and sound. This art form is extremely cathartic and empowering at the same time.
There’s no greater feeling than pouring paint on to a canvas and watching magic happen before your eyes! I’m so honored to be displaying my work in two local restaurants here in Houston - so exciting! Thank you so much for coming along on this journey with me!**
