A lot of the reason you see teams iso with Luka is because they tried doubling, but he is too good of a passer to double, it usually leads to an easy open bucket every time, then they try to iso again and he eats them alive, and then go back to doublng and its a viscous cycle. Given in this game, the Hawks just arent the best defensive team, just the 26th rated defense, but against the Kings recently who are pretty good on defense, he only had 28 points, but 17 assists. Or the Magic game recently he had a huge 45 points, but also 15 assists. He is almost as close as you can get to being truly unstoppable on offense, they will almost always get a decent shot if Luka is on the floor. Been rockin with Luka for years and its just mind blowing to me sometimes watching him meticulously pick apart defenses for whole games. And when hes on fire, theres nothing anybody can do to stop it, he will always find a different way to score or playmake

if Luka was black and American also, the would have request Lebron to go home, but he's white and for Europe, so that's threatening the American idea of superiority in basketball. It's not like baseball which open up to foreing players in the 60s. He prepares opponents defense, starting the game, he makes his teamates do alleyups, the he does, few fadeaways, and try a tripple, by then the other team is doubting every play, so the open up, and keeps doing that the whole game, fastbrakes everytime he se a chance, long passes, etc. Now people is like what? don't be so hypocrite america.

While I do agree that the nba and well America in general does has a xenophobic problem you have to remember as great as Luka is if he isn’t top 3-5 in the rankings of his teams placement he’s not getting it. We could DEFINITELY ARGUE ABOUT 2021-2022 THOUGH! But! 2022-2023 season they were in 11th place. This year I really want him to get it because I’m getting very tired of the disrespect he keeps getting. He has upped his defense playmaking is making his team better and is improving on defense. I just hope he can get to rank 1-3 so no more weird excuses come out of nowhere.

I mean its basic fundamental basketball. Luka beats doubles and blitzes, he runs his man of screens, he crosses them up, he creates space on step backs. I mean you do see that he isnt open before the step back right?

Exactly, everyone knows he has a vast repertoire, had been the theme for all these years, the reason why it is so difficult to guard the guy when he's energetic, which is almost every night, it's why he is second in PPG every year lately, but now it's an issue because the numbers seem to be threatening the American imaginary of basketball supremasy.

Buddy. They can’t double team him because he’s a God tier passer. But they do it anyways and get raped by open 3 pointers. With Luka you have to pick your poison

What’s up family! Sorry was on a mini vacation lol but while I agree I have to admit this hawks team is a god aweful example because their defense was garbage. Luka reminds me of Steph you have to guard both of them full court and get the ball out of their hands. The times I have seen luka do bad is usually due to them either attacking him consistently or having to guard him consistently at full court. If luka could play off ball pfffftttt maaaaaan listen lmao, but the brother should get mvp this year idk who else they would give it to tbh! In conclusion though his attention to be guarded is like stephs the whole team needs to be down to play defense on him no matter what, but it’s tiring when you have to juggernauts of offensive capabilities mixed with gravity to the point that teammates get open shots layups or even iso opportunities isn’t talked about enough between these two!

OK... Im not tryna hate, but.....If steph was playing against these defences and getting all those foul calls and free throws, we looking at steph averaging about 50. I mean lets just put it into perspective. Curry gets fouled even when he doesn't have the ball, forget him actually having the ball lol. And the defence holy, triple team, double team from half I mean lets be real. Luka is great not tryna take this away from him, but come on now. Steph would've beaten wilts 100 like 2 years ago if he got te whistle he deserves. I mean the man can drop 60 with like 5 free throws.

Luka gets doubled way more then Steph and Luka only shot 16 free throws which is the smallest amount of anyone who has gone for 70 or more.
