Transmission runs hotter than the sun hits us.. and cold air naturally goes down.. but if it works, it works!! Still interesting.. Rick Bork worked on his kabota, it's under the seat too.. thanks for the video!!

Yeah, i think under the seat is common on all newer machines, probably due to being easier to route the ductwork to the steer console.

@@larsonvalleyfarm makes it more automotive... But then, everything is in the dash anymore. Steiger put the outlets in the dash before they turned red, My Versatile is all upstairs. As long as they work and can be worked on!!!

I like the HVAC under the seat better than on top like my 50 series

The coil inside the cab is the evaporator. The other coil should be in front of the radiator, and that is the condenser. I'm not trying to be a smart a. I am a HVAC machanic for my day job. You probably have already put it all back together, but blow and wash the coils out often. Tha cleaner you keep the coils, the better the system works. I work on a couple of farmers tractors and combines close to where I live.

Thanks Monty. Wish you lived closer, I'd hire you to get the air working in the combine! Rye will be ready in a few weeks and i know how hot that cab gets when its 90 to 100 degrees!!

It's hard to beat the creature comforts of a cab tractor when the summer heat sets in. Just be careful around the condenser/heater fins. Mess them up enough and it'll be a pain in the rear as well as the pocketbook to fix.

That is a different location but it does have some advantages. But I'm sure it make it more difficult to get to the top of the transition. 6 of one, half of a dozen of the other, lol.

Buy the smallest window unit you can get and ratchet strap a generator to the roof. Lol

I saw a pic on Facebook a few years back someone put a window unit on a combine, then had a generator mounted next to it! It looked goofy, but i remember sweating my butt off harvesting rye and thinking, you know right about now that sounds like a good idea! Lol

@@mrbill4187 Back in th 50th Armour meat packing put up a building on the south side of Chicago Pullman District .To keep costs down in cooling with electricity as power they installed Chillers . @@fredf3391 Back when I was a Laser Tech, I had to service "Chillers" that kept the lasers cool. Biggest issue with the chillers are, if you couldn't keep them in a cool environment they couldn't keep the machines cool and they would temp out and shut down. The chillers on the big laser had their own room with 4 big 48 inch barn fans mounted in the walls like tunnel ventilation in modern barns. But 2 fans blew air in, and the other 2 pulled air out. And on warm days, those chillers would still over heat
