well Jimi actually said that his two fav guitarists were Billy Gibbons and Terry Kath of CTA................... Trower is not ten times better but I do love his music. I saw him with Procul Harem on the Broken Barricades tour, mainly dominated by Gary Brooker on piano and vocals. I have seen Eric too many times to count, he is a beast for sure

On top of that she has the facial expressions of Albert Collins. ;) I've seen her twice and she is the real deal.

He has much more control of his single line phrasing than Jimi had--but Jimi's motivic/ compositional arc is on another level---but thats because he created that language...But Eric is the greatest "Stewart" of it, the carrier of the flame.

Mr. Gales is a consummate master of Stratocaster-styled phrasing, and Taylor has clearly studied the phrasing of the British Blues masters (Clapton, Green, and M. Taylor) very thoroughly. They are both virtuosos.

I was able to see him with Eric at The Caverns in Pelham TN last year, Cody was really good ............... Walter Trout opened the show and they played a few tunes together, just tremendous !!!

Guitarists who play upside down are very rare. You have to learn everything yourself. Eric Gale has cool runs that I haven't heard from anyone else.

I'm a lefty player, n wouldn't wish that on anybody starting out on guitar that are left handed lol. It's tough enough progressing as a lefty player(playing standard left hand strung guitars). I would walk into this local music store where I live yrs ago, it was a really big building w/ two floors. Walk upstairs and the whole 2nd floor was dedicated to electric guitars n basses. 500 plus axes covered the walls, just gorgeous instruments. Well w/ a room full of guitars, there would be two left handed guitars at most, n they were junk lol. I felt like a kid in a candy store who was allergic to candy lol. So, as most lefty's starting out, I played junky right hand guitars w/ the strings switched to left hand stringing. As I've gotten older n been playing for alota yrs now, I'm comfortable being a lefty. There's more quality left hand instruments available now days. But if I had it to do all over again, I would have made myself learn to play right handed. 2% of the world population are lefty. That's just strange to me lol. Sorry so winded. I said all that to say, that bc of....I learned to play most chords upside down(standard rt hand tuning), but I can't imagine playing fluid lead that way. Eric Gales, Doyle Bramhall, Albert King, all play/ed that way. All the scales/solo's you play are all upside down. I've never seen anyone who can play masterfully that way like Eric Gales does. He is a phenomenon. Sorry again Gina Always for the long text. Just interesting watching EG vids(the lady is awesome as well).

@@syarbrough8510 I'm lmao and feeling sorry at the same time! Yes times have changed for the lefty players indeed. It makes me wonder with all these amazing, awesome, left handed guitarists and the shit they had to go through just to play! With that talent if they were right handed what would they have sounded like? Left handed players have more talent in so many ways than the usual right handed players. If you get a chance please go see Joanne Shaw Taylor she's so talented and totally amazing. Jo, drummer and base that's all it takes for some great blues! I'm friends with some great players and have been very fortunate to VIP with who I consider the best. I guess I need to remember that in my prayers tonight when times get bad remember what I'm grateful for. I'm having a hard time playing due 3 neck surgeries. Got some beautiful axes that I have to sit in order to play and need to remember at least I can sit and play.
