Considering the pruning of the mangrove, you should've considered air layering. This would have made that great growth you cut into a nice sized tree. This is a method of propagation employed by bonsai growers and other horticulturists.

Instead of worrying about lowering down the light just acclimate with the time/hours its on. Also that small of a jump I wouldn't worry about it

Once you’ve lowered the light Bar you need to find a way to attach it to your Existing Radion light bar. Make a HyBrid light bar like you had on your old Tank. Looks a lot better than 2 separate light bars

I have the 45 inch led bar from eBay all blue 470 nm I love it..

Go to hobby lobby, get some tracer paper, and wrap the led strip with it. Going up in layers. Then slowly remove layers to acclimate the corals

My tank is doing great with a giesemann hybrid but the light is hung too far back and its shorter than the tank which is shading areas that I don't want shaded. I just ordered 2 orphek blue plus 90cm bars to hang in front and reach the ends of the tank. I hope it looks nice. With my lamp too far back the colors pop on the wrong side and I cannot rehang the lamp without opening the ceiling to add cross joists. I plan on starting it an hour a day plus one per week. I hope that it is not an undue risk.

You have to understand as well that the electrical around it will make it grow away from it and make your growth funky. So that wire will be a big problem . If you haven’t noticed the trees and power lines how it grows around it and some trees look silly cause if the electrical current !

If it’s a 100watt, 50watt or whatever… and it’s an uncontrollable LED unit running at 100% power, you can ballpark the strength based off of your Radions within reason where it won’t matter much if adjust your main lights and/or adjust hanging distance… which you did. 💯…. I think people should buy the best light they can afford and they should spend the money on lights over flow and filtration. Telegraham has some great light options and I can't wait to see Luca's new lights. There is also ReeFi - which I think are the best lights on the market and an amazing price. Where people should save money is on fill in light and this is where these make sense. I also think a lot of lights miss some spectrum and this is where these come in. People can check out Luca's insta (mahina_corals) if they want to know more. But generally I think wider (front to back) tanks are better and you only need 1 XR15 Gen5 per 2x2' with these lights to counter any shadowing. But I do think Luca's bars will be even better because more diodes in both volume and broader spectrum. So exciting to see what is happening with lighting - I think spectrum is the future - well done Mooooookiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
