75 HP Mud Boat Engine from Midwest Horsepower

Out doing some more testing of a 75 HP single carb build we did. We were using a 14 pitch 2 blade and turning around 4500-4700 RPM, which got us up to 38 MPH. Our boat is a 1854 Excel and our drive is a Mudwalker surface drive. Later this week, we will have our new clutch and our 115+ HP engines on the water so we're super excited for that...stay tuned. Love the sound! I have an old school Buell Racing bike with a big bore kit and it's a real treat to hear a vtwin wide open throttle.

I know this is a ridiculous question, but what if I put something like this on a 20FT Aquasport ocean style boat? What kind of engine could I use? and would it be legal in the USA? I thought of doing it just for kicks.

Get you a Gator Trax boat so you can turn. And I have a 16ft fiberglass sturey with a 40 hp 2 stroke yamaha that will run 33mph with me and gear. Is your gas tank up front if so move to back of boat so you can pick the nose up a little, more air under the nose means less boat in the water which means more speed

Not hating but I have a stock 36hp sport v with a makuni carb and I can run 30mph with two people.. so this doesn’t add up.

@@artthurman3446 they pretty bad in areas, once bitten twice shy type thing,,got hit in the face this past summer,,20 mph,dang thing had to b 10 pounds,,almost knocked me smooth out
