75 illegal cannabis shops in NYC closed, mayor says

Mayor Eric Adams says dozens of illegal cannabis shops in New York City have been ordered to close. In the first week of "Operation Padlock to Protect," the mayor says 75 locations were sealed and nearly $6 million in penalties issued.

What happened to holding the landlord who rents the building storefronts to illegal cannabis shops? They were supposed to be held responsible as well for renting the storefront property to these known illegal shops that have no licenses. All cannabis licenses should be on display on the storefront window so consumers can know that there are legal establishments and have safe state tested cannabis.

@@albertl2542 I’ve been going to the downtown bk pop ups for cartrages mostly and recently some flower. I’m always hesitant to spend money there because I never know if it’s good. But they are all closed now so who knows
