Good video, and it would have been fun to get several people and have a group drag race. The Magic with 52 volts and 22 amp controller has the potential to peak at over a thousand watts, but we don't know if it actually uses all that. It was a real good showing by the Lectric.

Thanks guys for the comparison. I hear MagiCycle has already addressed the brakes and a few other things with the new batches that went out a few months ago. I have it practically down to 2 different bikes and they are the MagiCycle & BeeCool bike. I think my best bet is to wait a few months until the new Magiccycle 2 as well as BeeCool bikes come out. As far as the MagiCycle with their #2 it should have what the BeeCool bike has a 21 amp battery & that would put it above all other bikes across the board when it comes to full size fat tire e-bikes. A thousand watt motor added too would be great, but that may be asking for too much.😁

Hi Jeremiah, fantastic video! I have my doubts about the Lectric 2.0 ($999) now that they downgraded from the Samsung battery. Would it still punch above its weight with its 500w motor reaching 800+ peak despite the unbranded battery? The Snapcycle S1 still has the Samsung but at $1499 makes me wonder if it’s worth the difference. I really need a compact foldable and would have preferred mag wheels. Thanks for the thorough and positive way you work!

Thanks Glenn. I’m supposed to be getting the Snapcycle S1 for review. Until then I can’t say if it’s worth it or not. You should have added 50lbs to each bike you were on. Then it would have been a proper test. WEIGHT is a major factor. I have a FIIDO M1 PRO. I've range and speed tested it with myself 194lbs. And my friend 153lbs. I got a top speed of 25mph and 21 miles pure throttle from it. He got a top speed of nearly 28mph and 26 miles pure throttle from it. @@JeremiahMcintosh - Correct. The controller rating will be the total capacity of the output mosfets, but how much of that capacity is used depends on the programming. My controller will do 96 amps, but there's no way my motor will handle that, so it's limited to 40 amps.

The only customer service I had to deal with was Lectric and they were great. Can’t speak for the others unfortunately Because I haven’t had any problems. Maybe some others can chime in down below. Also I recommend checking out the Facebook forums for each if trying to decide.

Should I get the Engwe or Lectric 2.0?
@JeremiahMcintosh

Hey mike everyone’s needs and wants are different so to be honest you’ll have to decide for yourself. I would check out both of my review videos on them and just see what you’re more interested in whether it be more customization of PaS levels wider tires and bigger battery of the ENGWE or better customer service more power, able to add baskets and a slightly smaller and lower seat height of the Lectric. Hopefully this helps. Please reach out if you have any other questions.

i am very happy with my Lectric 2.0 - i did replace the seat, and swapped out the gear to a 11-28, added a seat suspension post, mirrors, non folding pedals, and a phone holder to mine. all available on amazon, check out Jeremiah's recommendations, i think i got all of those from his recommendations.

One of the reasons I bought the Engwe is because at the time I ordered, I could have it in 10 days as opposed to a three month wait for the Lectric. Also I liked the mag wheels. I'm sure I would have been just as happy with the Lectric or any of these others though. I'm editing this comment to say this: since my purchase, I have read quite a few comments on social media and in product reviews from people who say that Engwe customer service is abysmal. I hope I never have to find that out.

How about you add 50 lbs to the bike you are on? A sandbag on the rack?
@JeremiahMcintosh
@JeremiahMcintosh 2 жыл бұрын
I was initially going to add a 25 pound weight in a backpack because he said he was 190 but then when he got on the scale and was 50 pounds heavier I didn’t want to carry an extra 50 pounds on my back that’s why we switched bikes and I had him on the bike I thought was more powerful from the beginning.

I'm surprised the enwe did so poorly and the kectric did so well!!

I know. The Lectric definitely has more power than the ENGWE.

Possibly but the way I performed the test it really didn’t matter it still shows the point of which bike had more power. The only one that was really hard to show would be the magicycle and snap cycle because of the way the test ended up with both of us switching bikes so maybe I’ll do that test again in the future and add weight

A lot of extra unnecessary hot air in this video. Just strap a weighted backpack to the luggage rack and save us all a lot of boring conversation.
