Join me as I walk around my local streets in Paris, go to the laundrette and ramble about what's going on in LEPland at the moment and why there haven't been any new episodes for a while.

After listening to your previous episode on DIY stuff, I waited for sometime and didn't listen to your old episodes as I used to do and today for some inexplicable thing, I decided that I should check your podcast, because I felt there should be one. Surprisingly, there was this one; my guess was correct. I listened to eagerly. I like every word and sentence you used. I again found that I could understand everything you spoke. The presentation was really helpful to improve the language. In the past couple of weeks certain things happened in my life. My kids fell ill with Covid first and then my wife. Finally I was also tested positive on 6th February and had to rest. Was absent from work for a week. Went back to work on the 14th of February. We got a new sofa set on 5th February as the one we were using was nearly 8 years old. We don't change furniture often, because it's rather expensive. And today, I had to go to a shop whose owner is known to me for a long time, because I wanted to help my colleague get a new washing machine at a reasonable discount. And he purchased it this afternoon. And I'm also one who's having a back pain, though it flares up occasionally. I have got the help of a physiotherapist to fix it. My x-ray, which was taken a few years back, showed that the cartilage in the in the vertebrae at the lower back was not in position; I mean there's some protrusion of that stuff. If that's the right term. So in your current episode there were references to certain things which my life was associated with in some way. A coincidence, in a way. This is not very important, but I want to write something and anyone can ignore this. We're also eagerly waiting to see your next podcast episode. They're enjoyable and full of real English for a me, because I'm trying to be better at using the language. My wish is that you become completely healthy again, while you're working with other matters after moving to a new apartment. I have my own house here, 74 km away from the capital where I go to work daily. I remember spending a lot of time and money on the construction of my house, in which we now live peacefully. The period of house building was one of the hardest times in my life. I shudder to think of the amount of hassle over the matters related to it. At my age, 54, it's difficult to think about building a new house or moving to a flat. Hope you're going to have a great time soon at your new apartment. The time ahead will definitely be better for you and your family. Bless you!

Hi Luke! I'm happy to hear from you! I enjoyed the episode and the updates you gave us. I hope your new headquarters will be ready soon. In the meantime you could consider doing vlogs. That would be nice. We could travel to Paris right on the sofa. Imagine a conversation between friends: -What are you doing tonight? - I'm travelling to Paris with Luke Thompson. We're going sightseeing to the most famous places in France such as the launderette. - But what about the Louvre? -Nah. The launderette is way more exciting, isn't it! You mentioned smashing down the walls. I understand that - space is vital. But I'm wondering if those walls weren't load bearing. Cause it's very important. I'm also experiencing an ongoing saga of moving into the new flat. My father and I are building some furniture, and we also need to buy some items. And guess what... The lift in our house is being renovated. So we can't buy everything at the moment and have to wait untill it's ready. It's very common when something interferes, and you have to postpone moving in. As for Covid-19 test, I have a story about it. When I got sick with Covid, my father also got sick as we lived in a shared crampy flat. (We still do) I was tested positive twice, and he was tested negative which suggested that he didn't have Covid-19. But he had symptoms such as cough and high temperature. Arguably he couldn't be sick with anything else because it's absolutely impossible to avoid infesting in a family being encircled in a small place. I think, the test just wasn't accurate. So it's not that obvious whether someone has Covid or not. Anyways, I wish you all the best. And I'm looking forward to listenING (Yes. I'm being careful with this one) to new episodes of your podcast. Cheers!

Hi my best teacher,it happens in any way to our life like yours at the moment ,which makes me think about mine as well retiring from work at 55; however,I love teaching English even if I was accounting manager, and my determined plan is to write English book for really working conditions lessened on unnecessary grammar rules. But I have no time ,like your story quoted by Lennon ,life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans(something going on to us deterred or prevented from doing it)I am kind of having an idea while listening to your podcast that we should do things we plan to do every day bit by bit when having no time or much by much when having more time like forcing it to become habit that we do without excuse effortless, naturally, automatically like brushing our teeth after meal , waking up, or before going to bed) Please kindly share with me if my advice makes sense.Thank you.

It would be great if you'll make a podcast about how you are telling a story to your daughter: sometimes she would ask you something to explain, you know and etc. So it would be also useful for your listeners/English learners. What do you think about it?

I was just wondering why Luke had not been creating videos for the last two months. 'Why can't he make a podcast while out for a morning walk?' was my first idea. However, during his talk in the present episode, he explained all the complications he has been facing: his wife and daughter fell ill, and then a flat under or over his is under construction. The explanation was satisfactory. I hope that soon we hear from Luke.

Luke, any kind of podcast you make is interesting and enthralling 😃 and it's impossible to forget LEPland, actually we missed you. Thank you for giving us some of your time during this rather stressful period ☕ (it's for you if you want it).......so the washing machine, after all the efforts to adapt the kitchen cupboard in which to embed it, has even decided to stop working? What an ungratitude 🤨 However, all is well that ends well 🖖 P.S: Something has just happened instead....but try not to get confused by the propaganda though.
