The fact that she still talks about the good memories with her dad so fondly shows how balanced she is as a person. It is so easy to talk trash about someone who has wronged you, but she continues to see the good times as they were instead of painting them in bad light. So inspiring, Malvika!

20 minutes into the video and I had t pause to comment. Being a content creator it takes so much guts to share the not so glamorous part of your life and look at her. Heavily pregnant, in the middle of moving houses, dealing with her own separation and her mom's but here she is looking like a million bucks and letting her thoughts flow so freely. The inner work she's done already is so inspiring. Her life seems like a movie from where I stand- somewhat like pursuit of happyness. I can't wait to see her happy ending where she and her baby have made it! Thank you so much for bringing us this. :)

I dont understand the concept of renting a 4bhk, having lavish vacations in first class air tickets, buying luxury cars but never investing in buying a house because "Mumbai is expensive" - the first thing anyone should do if they are living in Mumbai and want to continue living here is to invest in your own home - people don't invest in assets but liabilities this is what happens...I know people would say oh but she can move apartments and live in a dream house of her own.. its not convenient to keep moving places every 2-3 years unless you have a transferable job or something..the lesson one needs to learn here is also that they never invested in assets which is why the riches to rags story - I think this is also what she meant when she said her father had bad habits due to which they suddenly shot up to wealth. Crony means of survival don't always work if you do not have reliable assets and liquidity of the same to fall back upon. Seeing that she has a baby on the way it will be better for her to finally buy an apartment.. doesn't matter if it's a 1bhk or mansion - during tough times your assets help you and how..you can't even mortgage your house against a loan cos you don't own a house..I hope Malvika if you're reading this you don't do the same mistake that your dad did and actually invest smartly in the future.

@deeptigarg5939 are you new to her channel? See any of her videos or her earlier ones..she has said it a multiple times that they never owned any houses in Mumbai.. still don't own one...the 4bhk was also a rented one..here she clearly says they couldn't make the rent so had to rent a 3bhk and then eventually a 1bhk

The day I randomly found Malvika's separation video, only after watching the first few minutes my heart dropped. Even though i haven't been following her for a long time probably years, just knowing the fact that she is going through a pregnancy & separation, my heart was wrenching for her. I just couldn't watch that video. It took me another 2-3 days to make myself sit though that and oh boy, each couple of mins of that video was another surprise and more deeper wound. I am not married, neither do I have a baby but as a woman i know what she went through is our biggest nightmare. No one ever in their worst of dreams ever wants this to happen all at once. Mals was living the nightmare with a smile on her face. I cried for her. This woman is the epitome of courage and strength. I don't know how she's even able to speak about it without breaking down, I could never. As someone who struggled mentally and was in depression, what she said is 100% fact. Only you can pull yourself out of the mess, it takes a lot of self love to understand that you're the only one who can fight for yourself and pull u through. It takes a lot of courage to realise only you can bring the change in your life and no one else is responsible for how you're feeling. Hats off to her will power, i am so so proud of her.

So many things don't make sense here. Poverty is not a subjective matter, affordability is. Malvika couldn't afford her luxurious lifestyle after her dad lost all their money but she was in no way poor, based on her description. If she really was poor, she can't have done KZfaq because it takes a while for the channel to be monetized and for her content to start making money. She had the privilege and the option of choosing this career path despite it not generating money, at least for the first few months, if anything she was middle class but never poor. If she had been as penniless as she made it seem, she would've taken up any job, a sales girl or beauty assistant at makeup counters, or ANY regularly paying job because that's what actual poverty does to you. Desperation pushes people to take up real jobs, not make videos on youtube. I'm not hating on her but this is no UNFILTERED TRUTH. I've followed her on youtube for years now almost since the beginning of her career here but all this is just plain exaggeration. Six months without water and electricity... does that make any sense at all? Idk if the host was being polite by not countering her or just unbelievably naive. Also Malvika, you said money could've made you a very different person and a spoilt brat.. with all due respect, you're no different now. You reek of entitlement and privilege and sometimes the way you treat your audience speaks volumes about your ingratitude.

It's so difficult to say it out loud that I am not okay and then also buck up to do the self work and make a change. Take charge of our own lives. Takes courage, takes resilience and takes patience. Cheers to all those lovely ladies who choose themselves and be unapologetically kind first to themselves and then exude that to people around them. I love how I can relate to her mindset and the best advise to always put yourself first because you're child is always watching. And to put men on a pedestal hahaha yes couldn't agree more. I want to give Mals a tight hug tbh as I've seen her journey through years of how stable of a person she is ❤️

U didn't hear maybe a part where she is mentioning that my dad gave us a good life and money and then he took all of it. So maybe how she mentioned her mum maybe her mum never got involved in all savings and assets things and she and her brothers were not in that age where they could understand this. So maybe his dad took it all and gave nothing to her mum. That's just a theory of what i could understand when she was talking. But yeah she is so strong. And like taking all this in and coming out so Strong is just Hats off to her❤

I have questions. Why does a story not match? she talks about being in college and doing runways and feeling that she isn’t making enough. But she also talks about being in a very rich and luxurious phase of her life till 21. Isn’t 21 when you graduate? So how are you having the best of phones? Latest iPhone, BMW’s, Mercedes and five cars under your building and still feeling you aren’t making enough? BTW, she also mentioned she had a lot of pocket money. So why was there a need to feel you want making enough? Second question, she talks about living in a 1BHK and not having water and electricity for six months but also about copying or getting inspired from the western make up community and teaching the same to Indian audiences. Hold-up! How are you affording the make up you were using to bake, contour conceal, and what ever the hell, the west, was is doing? While I can sympathise with her for her father, leaving without a word and then her husband while she is about to have their baby, I cannot understand what is the need to make up weird stories that do not match all the timeline she herself mentions. Also, as a person who has suddenly become poor in a drop of a minute, as mentioned by her, how does your conscience allows you to not look at serious methods or ways of income? Especially, when you say your younger brother had to drop out of school and the older one was is the only earning member and not to forget your mum a homemaker? How do you get the financial resources to buy is in light, still use an iPhone to film, be able to buy beauty products, and not be able to afford water, electricity, rent?! PS: no hate, just a curious mind, trying to understand the timeline and basic things as affordability for a a richest to rags household with a single earning member.?!

Umm yea.. I do get your question.. But now as we are digging into it.. Let me put forth my pov.. That when she talked about losing everything in a flash.. She would have lost an income, house and luxuries.. But she did have had her old stuff.. And stuff like makeup, clothes, phones, etc are personal belongings and does not count to assets or stuff that can be mortgaged or rented whatever.. So that do make sense to me.. And when we talk about the pageants and stuff.. Umm she did say that she was doing that for a long time and then she had to go through all the rough patch during that period only and that's when she would've realised that it wasn't working.. And in Mumbai 11-12th are also considered as college.. So all and all.. It doesn't feel a lie or a cooked up story.. It might seem messed up chronologically or whatever.. But umm.. Let's just not get into it and end up making it something negative..

I'm left speechless after watching this. I've been following Malvika for a long time now, and I had no idea she went through so much. She's so brave and such an inspiration for so so many people out there. I've also been through my fair share of trauma in life, and I completely agree with Malvika when she says that confidence comes with being true to yourself. It's what has worked for me, someone who had zero confidence growing up. Thank you, Shivani, for featuring Malvika on your podcast. You're awesome!

As a mum to a one year old, I second that when she says 'it will be me first and then the baby'. This is the result of healing yourself. Only when you put yourself first, take care of yourself first, only then will you be able to put the best version of yourself to take the BEST care of your baby, do the BEST for your family. Abandoning your needs thinking it's selfish, you are only putting your priorities with a 'managed and compromised' YOU.

I don't think one should dismiss off women who choose to stay married for their kids. It is important for a child to have a stable foundation. And if a mom feels that her issues don't matter as much as providing steadiness to a child, it's fine. It is possible for a man to be a bad husband but be a very good father. Or the other way around.
