Back to basics for me lately. I use to love doing chain and string pulls when I began my Acrylic Pouring journey. Here is an easy to follow tutorial. If you have any questions feel free to leave me a comment. I am a realist and abstract artist. Modified Blooms and Swipes are my favourite techniques to do in acrylic pouring. I'm also starting to enjoy embellishing them. I have done many portraits and landscapes. I also do Watercolour Paintings. #abstract

Ingredients
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I uses some of my left over paint mixes from doing a Swipe or Bloom.
Tube Paint
Artist Loft Flow Acrylic Paint
Pigment Powder
House Paint
PPG Kitchen, Bath and Trim Ultra Deep Base Semi Gloss
Polycrylic
American Floetrol
TUBE PAINT P/M
Start by adding un-tinted paint to the cup then add tube paint and mix.
(Approximately 1 part tube paint to 3 or 4 parts un-tinted paint) Then add varnish a little at a time until you get the consistency you want.
BASE
Artist Loft Flow Acrylic Paint and American Floetrol and very little House paint.
About 4 parts Paint to 1 part American Floetrol.
THE BLOOM

Wonderful application. I do find with most that use this medium, they have a tendency to overdo it. Sometimes less is more. In this case that may apply.

I liked the colors in this painting, and enjoyed watching you work, but I was wondering how it would look if you worked the different colors in a mixed-up order. That way some of the pink would look like it was on the back layer and mixed up through the painting instead of all being on the top layer. Just a suggestion. I haven't gotten to try this type of painting yet, but I hope to one of these days. I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks.

I'm sure somebody else has asked as well. I did look quickly to see. But I would like to ask why you opted to spread the paint on the background with a comb as compared to using a brush.

This technique requires just the right amount of paint for the base. Not as much as a regular acrylic pour needs and not as little as using a brush will do. Using the comb just spreads it perfectly for the Chain or String Pull Technique. Thanks for watching.

Thank You, Yes Acrylic. I used Floetrol or untinted paint, not too sure. My recipe will be in the description of the video.

Yes, it's from doing swipes and blooms. Just for the colours. The Black base was acrylic paint soft body mixed with floetrol. I believe I stated that in my video. Thanks for watching.

Where did the green come from? I’m just learning and this will be my next painting. In the future, if you could list your colors, etc. on the screen, it would be appreciated. 👍🏼

The green came from an Interference Pigment called shimmer. Different lighting and the way it's tilted shows different colours. I did list my colours in the video. Shimmer, Whitehaven, Fairy Floss and Reflex Rose. I always list my colours on screen in my videos. Thanks for watching.

Your finished piece is just lovely. The small pink wisps were a great idea too. My only suggestion is that you almost seem to be talking to yourself and you voice isn’t very clear. Maybe put a bit more volume and expression into your voice so that it seems as though you are talking with your audience. You got better toward the end. Great job.
