“Brandon Ingram, who turns 27 in September, is eligible for a four-year, $208 million extension this summer. Considering their current and future financial situation, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer him that maximum deal this offseason, league sources tell The Athletic.”

@@76ersTVidk why you would prefer lavine over Ingram if we strike out on the others. Reason being. Lavine has put up similar numbers at times better numbers. From 2018-2022 he played like a perennial allstar at the wing. We wouldn't have to immediately give him a max and he would be far cheaper to get. Lavine we could get with the 16th pick the bulls would take 1 1st to get him gone and the sixers could cut ties if he didn't fit trade him along with some of our other picks for a 3rd star or dump him for a pick elsewhere and reboot at the deadline or next summer IF it didn't work. I just don't see how trading the assets then giving over 200M to Ingram would be smart and move the needle. Lavine is cheaper to get and we would not be stuck in cap hell like Harris beings lavines contract is running out soon. I think the team should focus more on lavine then Ingram if they lose out on Pg Lebron Butler I do think siakiam is a dark horse that morey could try and steal he has a double connection in Philly with nick nurse and embiid being from the same little camaroon village Let's see what you guys think of that

@@mcnabbftw1 I have two main issues with LaVine: Still has 3 years left on his deal at $43 mil, $45 mil & $48 mil. Too expensive for the player he is. Also don't like his effort on the defensive side of the ball

Maybe something like a three team trade Sixers Butler, Drummond, Heat Zach Levine, and Bulls draft picks. Then resign Oubre, Lowry, Batum. Maybe Buddy on a good team friendly deal I really liked that game six burst. And just build a deep bench. Also if none of that works I do like all the comments on Lauri Markkanen dude can ball. Oh! And Embiid please spend money on your body! He needs to be lighter to help with the injuries or none of this matters.

Well since Morey has almost stripped the cupboard bare, we have to keep star 1 and 2, pray that someone calls Morey like they did on Maxey in the draft and he gets lucky..Otherwise since the coaching staff failed to coach up Reed,Harris,Bamba and Springer(he’ll be getting a championship ring), then we don’t have any body available for trades that anyone wants.

Coming from a standpoint of the new era of ball we have to realize a BIG 3 isn’t getting it done anymore. You need the assets of a bench to contribute to winning a championship. Look at Boston and the Mavs. They have great role players around the two stars on their teams. Give maxey and embiid the guys they need and I’m sure they’ll put in the work to win! I keep on saying, we need to get some dogs on this team like Caruso and Smart. I also like Drummond to backup embiid. We have a lot of assets to work with… get those role players and bring back some guys from last szn like Kelly and Buddy and sign a Vet min for Lowry. There’s still time on the market to find other key players but I’m not so sure we’ll get it done. I’m afraid we will spend WAY to much on a star. Lmk what you think

Agreed that this playoffs has shown that role players ultimately make the difference. Sixers were thin in that regard and it showed vs the Knicks. That being said, these types of players can be hard to acquire as all teams are looking for those impactful role players. I love the idea of Caruso, Smart and Drummond as you mentioned. You need 8 guys that you can trust at all times during the postseason.

We trade for Ingram and don’t give him an extension right away. He’s not a Max player. Secondly, I’m resigning Cam Payne, Batum and possibly Oubre at the right price. If Ingram wants a Max contract, I’m good

Better take care of Maxey before any max extensions to any other players. This why I don't like Morey or Elton Brand leading this front office just wasted money and bad contracts. Get younger and build!!!

Answer this... Let's say hypothetically we drafted Ingram over Simmons, and he had exactly the same #s as he did in LA and NO, would you be extending him right now? Ultimately the picks we have to give up for Ingram are the same we gave up for and got back for Harden, so it's a wash. Maybe NO takes Paul Reed and Hield on a sign-n-trade plus a pick or 2. Trade #16 for Moody or draft a rebounding PF. Let the 4-spot be the developmental position with a young hustler. Re-sign who you can out of Oubre, Melton, Lowry or Batum.

Not saying the sixers should or will, but they could do a sign and trade, they could do an initial trade for assets to land Markkanen, or finally, involve a third or even fourth team...it's not impossible, just a long shot.

Lowry and Batum are trash 🗑.... Not worth anything, we can't win with them, let them go elsewhere 🏌🏾‍♂️. We need players who bring it every night. I demand a CHIP!!!
